I love the idea of a dual-head brush. I use the coated metal pins for the tough knots, and the bristles for the more sensitive areas of my Golden's body.

I like to use the metal pins first to brush out the coat of my dogs fur first, because I feel as if dogs find the slicker brush to be a little painful, so I use that after this brush. It helps to get out the mats, and the other side with the boar bristles really works to smooth out the fur and make it shiny. It's gentle and is a great brush, and I find it especially good for areas like their feet and tail where the slicker brush is a little rougher.

At first I loved this product in the store, as I loved the colour. But when I got home, the bristles were all different lengths, and there was a tiny crack in it. I would give it 0 stars but it does do a decent job after cutting the long bristles (Some were like 5 inches long! So weird.) and it is a gorgeous colour. But another minus is that the handle is not made of an easy grip material, but it is made of a way better material than hard plastic.
Pros: beautiful colour, decent job at grooming
Cons: bristles were all different lengths, the price is too high for this quality, crack on the brush, no gel or easy to grip handle for comfort

This dual head brush is the greatest idea EVER. I love the fact that it has 2 sides so you dont need to worry if you have lost a bristle brush or if you have lost a nylon brush, because there both right there attached to each other. I like the color and my dog absolutely loves it.
Pros: no need to worry about loosing either brush
