I am really glad I purchased the Pedipaws. My large dog does not like the clippers and he hates the vet. I simply have him sit and do his nails one at a time with no problems.

They work as promised, but seem to dull quickly. Maybe my dog just has really tough nails. But they're easy to use and replace.
Pros: gentle

I never want to hurt my pup so this is the only way to go. If you take your time and only file a little on each nail, then start again and only file a little on each you won't burn them and they won't hurt you with their nails. Start young and they won't mind getting done.

Love this product!! Use it on both my dog and cat but without the protective yellow cap. The cat requires that I hurry but my dog loves the extra attention and time to get her nails the proper length.

I have a cat (I am a certified groomer) but it really does not matter if you can scruff your animal and have someone to hold the paw..
The first time i used it, it took the nails down really fast.. after that it was dull and harder to do which frustrated me and p""sed of my cat.. I bought a thing of replacement things and it works a lot better with a fresh one every time. WOULD NOT recommend for dogs nails as they are WAYYY to thick!
Just get a dremmel! I use them for all my dogs and neighbors, Just be sure to not go to deep into the quick or past the soft part of the nail!
for a cat it works fine if your cat is not a spaz! lol.. and so much easier then clipping and more safe! I am always scared to quick him if he squirms! This way is much better

I have two dogs, a corgi and a sheltie. My corgi has really thick nails (to which the pedipaw takes like an hour), so we use an actual Dremmel on his nails (dont attempt if not experienced). My sheltie is very mannerly and sits for the 45min of Pedipaw-ing. Yeah, that long. The head stops everytime you push the nail a little bit. And I personally take off the "safe guard" because then you don't have to hold it in such an awkward position. Plus the cap (the yellow part) does NOT hold the stinky nail dust at ALL, so prepare to get messy. Final note: Remember, Im a groomer and trainer- my dogs are not the least bit fussy. So if your dog wont let you as much as hold his foot-DONT BUY.
Good luck! =)
