I ship pups all the time to new homes some even to Europe. I only use this brand of crate. It is sturdy, and has the extra holes required for ventilation and security ties. Wish it came with food and water cup.

Purchased the Large carrier on 5.6.13, handle broke on 5.15.13. The carrier is thin plastic, so be mindful of this if you plan to move it around a bit. This kennel is good for being set in one place and left to be, I would not consider this kennel for serious travel or airline use. Returning it today to PetSmart for a sturdier model. You get what you pay for.

We've bought 2 so far, 1 for our Doxie and another for our guinea pig for traveling, planning on buying another for our husky mix. Super easy to put together and very sturdy!

I just purchased this carrier to send a dog we were fostering to their new home. It seemed okay but when I tried to put it together I found that the screws were smooth heads so you can't use a screw driver to hold it still. The plastic thumb nuts were not threaded correctly so more than half of them were not able to be used. I finally used a pliers to hold the top of the screw and another pliers to turn the plastic nut. I hope they did not pay the person that came up with that design. My nephew that is just starting school would know better than that!

I thought that this carrier was a good size for the price and that was the reason I bought it over another brand. When I got it home, the top and bottom did not seem to fit well and needed the bolts to draw them together. Plastic seems thin. One of the plastic nuts was not cut out properly and did not screw onto a bolt at all, so that one was of no use. The door was the worst. It seemed like the metal pieces that were supposed to fit into the slots were too long and it caused binding. The door in return was very difficult to open and close. Luckily, this was a one time use to ship a puppy, but I recommended that the new owners did not depend on this carrier after shipping use.

I purchased the small kennel and during the assembly process, I found that the provided screws are to long in order to obtain a tight fit. I had to use my own washers to get a tight fit. Fortunately I had enough so that I didn't have to make a trip to get them. You need 15 washers.

Received the Medium/Intermediate size one when we were given a German Shepherd puppy for Christmas. The carrier worked great for "crate" training without giving the puppy too much room. When he graduated to a larger kennel, we broke the carrier down and stored it; takes up a minimal amount of space. Have used it several times since; loaning it out or transporting other puppies. Fits nicely on the back seat of our automobile. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a economically priced carrier.

This dog crate does everything you want it to do at about half the price of the other choices. It's sturdy, the door mechanism works well, it has good ventilation and it looks good. We have the medium size for my pug so she can stand and turn around in it. Our chihuahuas love it too.

My puppy slept in this kennel from her first day on and she absolutely loves it. She is a Lab and we got the largest one for her (XL). When she was younger she bit into the door a few times and was stuck with her underjaw / canines once. Luckily I could free her quickly and she never bit into the door again. I suggest supervising your puppy at the beginning, especially if he is scratching or biting the door. However, I am very happy with the kennel and it is great for travelling, too. We now only have her in the kennel at night and she likes it very much. She goes in there without any problems, also during the day to sleep or just relax. I also suggest making it a comfy and enjoyable place for your dog, for example we put a crate mat and a towel in there.

I first bought my puppy this carrier in the small size, since she was a rescue I had no clue how big she would get. She has since grown out of her old one and I have upgraded to the large carrier. She loves it! She even played inside of it as I built it. She hates the metal wire looking crates, this plastic model makes her feel more safe. Overall, I would recommend this crate. It is also very easy to clean up when the puppy has an accident!

I bought two of these carriers for my dogs. They were super easy to assemble. (my 8 year old did most of the work!) They are sturdy and our dogs can see out of the sides and front with no problem. Awesome product with an awesome price!

My only problem with this crate is only due to the breed of my dog. I am owned by a Leonberger and they do not like to be warm, because of how thick their coat is. He was fine as long as I kept a fan blowing on his crate so we ended up moving him to a wire crate. My Rottwieller loved this crate and did not like the wire one so it's all preference of the dog. It is a well made crate and went together very easily.

I bought this crate for my 8 weeks puppy, it is sturdy, light and easy to assemble. the only weak point is not having choices over color. It is just one color.

About two years ago we went to our local Pet Smart to purchase dog carriers for our dogs. We found the perfect one for our min pin there. It is actually the one shown as Item #3195394 here on PetSmart.com. We opted for a bit larger size than our dog needed, so it wouldn't be just for traveling in, it could be for him to bury his dog bones under the pillow we put inside. It was the Medium/Intermediate size and we were able to put a fluffy standard twin bed size head pillow in it. He sleeps in it at night, however when we have it inside and not in the car, I tend to take the gate door off of it. It is sturdy in the car and I feel it protects him very well. We do bungy cord it to the inside of the back of the jeep, using the handle on one of the bungy tie off places. That way it won't slide while we are traveling. He's on one side and then our big dog is on the other side in his dog carrier. I would definitely recommend the carriers and they do have pads you can purchase to place inside of them, but my min pin is a bit older and I like the fluffy soft pillow on the bottom for him.

My dog has certainly grown into this carrier (a 30lb beagle mix). We used it while potty training her and it worked wondefully. She doesn't need the carrier anymore (the carrier AND the dog are a little heavy to carry together), she still uses this carrier as a haven to escape to when she wants to take a nap.

I have done crate training with all of my dogs, past & present & this is a superb crate.
I love the feeling of knowing my dog is home & safe in her crate & not wandering around. They can get into so much & so quickly & this holds them securely.
An added plus is she loves going in her crate.

I bought one of these crates for the dog rescue that I got my dog from. They are constantly transporting dogs from location to location and specifically request these crates if you ask them. They are used constantly and hold up well. I will continue to buy these for the rescue when they are on sale and I have the extra money. A great investment for a great cause.

I purchased this when my bernese mountain dog "Hank" was about 5 months old. We needed a bigger crate because he outgrew our old one. It is the prefect size. It was very easy to put together and very sturdy. Hank is now 2 years old and even though we do not crate him, he likes to go in there and hang out when he wants to chill.
