Very simplistic, and in my opinion probably not worth your time if you are really interested in the German shepherd dog. There was barely even a whiff of Schutzhund info in this book. Schutzhund is the HERITAGE of our breed!
Pros: easy to read, ok basic info
Cons: not representative of the gsd as a working dog

Over all I like this book but the writing about American GSD is not so good. The author, in my opinion is not a fan of them and that is shown within her writings. She makes German GSDs look like they never have health problems or breeding problems and in truth there isn't a bread of dog that doesn't have these problems.
Once you get past this part the book is very informative and if you are buying a GSD for companionship this is the book for you.
Pros: over all very imformative
Cons: speaks bad about american german shepherds
