"Ease of use. Helps to be "green friendly" with the Mitt being bio-degradable, as so much plastic is being thrown away nowadays. Also the extra assurance of 2mils between you and well, you know what. this help make it easier for those who are alittle uneasy with the that "end" of pet care. Try it you'll like it."

Best bags for a messy job,

"I have used these bags exclusively now for over 2 years, after trying just about everything else. The double layers make picking up a mess less "touchy-feely". And once reversed they tie at the end and don't appear to hang and sag like so many cheaper more flimsy ones while you carry them home. Even my husband will walk the dogs with these bags!"

Good degradable bags,

"I like these bags, they're just as good at what they do as any other bag I've tried. But I had to reply to clear up what the other review said about the bags not being "biodegradable". Biodegradable plastics are broken down by organic, living enzymes. Degradable plastics are broken down by heat, sunlight or pressure. It's true this process isn't as quick as biodegrade but its still better than plastics that take years or decades sitting in landfills."

Picking Up After Gets Better,

"I've used Mutt Mitts literally for years and I haven't found a better product for the slightly uncomfortable task of picking up poopies. I wouldn't trust anything else because my Golden can produce a significant amount at one time and Mutt Mitts can handle it. Plus they are doubled-lined, so you know you're not going to get dirty hands doing your duty. The black bottom to the bag makes it a discrete carry along as you finish your walk, too. And to add to the value of Mutt Mitts, the bags are degradable even out of sunlight, so you know you're not leaving behind a plastic bag legacy. I highly recommend them!"

NOT BIODEGRADABLE!!,

"I read the reviews because I was looking for a biodegradable bag too. I looked at the product, it IS NOT BIODEGRADABLE!! It says 100% degradable, which means it will degrade eventually; but so will a grocery bag or any other plastic bag! Don't be fooled and think you are helping by buying these bags--they ARE NOT BIODEGRADABLE! In fact, they are double layered, they have even more plastic in one bag than any of the other waste bags out there--even more plastic going into the environment. Look for the word BIODEGRADABLE-otherwise you might as well be using a regular plastic bag. If you don't care about the BIODEGRABLE issue, it is an OK bag, about like any others on the market."

Big Dogs,

"I have an 85 pound black lab - needless to say, big dogs = big messes. These are the only bags (or scoop device) I have found (and I've tried them all) that get the job done. The bags do not rip or tear and there is sufficient plastic between my hand and her messes which makes the task alittle less gross. Also, they are biodegradable which is the material we all should be buying and using."

"Although a little expensive, Mutt Mitts are worth it. I insist on using biodegradeable bags (why put highly degradeable material in a bag that will protect it for 1000 years?). But many of the alternatives are thin and tend to rip. There are few things worse than going to pick up the waste and having your hand break through the bag. The reinforced area of these makes it well worth the money."
