I do not understand why it is so hard to get good quality bird toys at these big stores. My bird had this toy apart in 10 minutes. This is why I go the local bird shows in Ohio

This is a wonderful toy for an active bird! It's great for small birds like finches or parakeets. It helps trim their beaks and keep them happy. A great addition to any cage!
Pros: durable, Keeps Pet Entertained

The Party Time toy for my Blue & Gold Macaw looked heavy duty and I thought it would be a toy that would keep him active for quite some time. I couldnt believe my eyes. Within 15 minutes he had totally distroyed it. The only thing left hanging is 4 large pieces of wood on the chain. Bird toys can be quite expensive and I really thought it would last a lot long than just a few minutes. This would be a fantastic toy for a smaller bird like an africian grey or similar bird, but not a macaw. I hope that petsmart can find and carry better constructed toys for macaws. It really was a beautiful toy when it arrived. I'm not sure where or what kind of toy to buy for him now.

A few months ago, I was gifted a slightly smaller version of this toy that's 12" long and anywhere from 3" to 5" wide for my Lesser Jardine's parrot, who absolutely adores it! I've had to replace it twice in the last three months, and both times, I've replaced it with this larger version.
It is much larger than she is, and she loves to attack it, wrestle with it, hang and swing from it, destroy the wood, and untie all the knots. Even at her petite size, she has no problem demolishing the "macaw/cockatoo" sized version sold via PetSmart, which is about 3 times her size.
If your cage is large enough and your bird isn't frightened of large/new toys, this is a great buy, even for smaller hookbills!

This is a great toy if you have the space for it in your cage. My bird will grab seeds and eat them on top of this. My conure is unable to destroy this.
Pros: attractive, durable, colorful
Cons: heavy

We adopted a 22 year-old Amazon 5 months ago. She was neglected by her previous owners and didn't have any toys in her cage when we first met her (she also had an overgrown beak due to the latter). Our avian vet said that he doubted she would ever play with toys. Well, thankfully, the vet was wrong.
I started her off with some small 1" wooden blocks, then a pinata toy, and once she showed that she enjoyed those, I went for this toy: her first big toy! (Bigger than she is.) She LOVED IT and chewed on it constantly. I also liked that it didn't have any plastics or rawhide.
Of course, it's a bit hefty on the pocketbook, but that comes with the territory when you have a large bird. I would purchase this again.
Pros: all wood and rope (no plastics or rawhide)
Cons: pricey but that's to be expected, not available in stores
