Black light is great at finding those invisible stinky spots, too bad the Urine Eliminator doesn't live up to it's name. Really saturated spots but smell or stain didn't go away.

We just got an Akita puppy, he has only ever urinated in our house. Needless to say I trusted Bissell as "carpet cleaning Experts" to my dog spots... This product gets rid of the smell no problem, BUT doesn't get rid of the urine! After using the black light provided (you need a dark room and to hold it up at least at waist level for it to work) I found more urine spots than I knew what to do with. Used the product following the instructions to the T and after getting the surface area clean and letting it dry went back with black light and ALL the spots are still there!!

After adopting a small dog from petsmart and loosing the potty training battle, I wanted to catch up on all the spots and follow up with serious potty training. I put the batteries in the black light and with the lights off saw many glowing spots. However, when I reached areas of the house that weren't dark enough then I did have trouble seeing the spots that were glowing later when I repeated the area after dark. I just need to buy more formula to finish the clean up process and will be happy with the results.

Black light doesn't work

We bought this because we have a new puppy that we are potty training. He frequently urinates on our carpet in the same area. We saw this product and were excited to track down urine spots with the black light and remove them with the enzymes. Only problem, the black light doesn't detect anything. At first we thought maybe we were especially diligent in cleaning our carpets and there was no urine to clean. Then we tested it out. We witnessed our dog urinating on the carpet. Marked the area and waited for it to dry. Came back with the black light, and nada. No glow, no spot, nothing. So now we have a big bottle of this product that we wanted to use to get dried in urine and spots that may have occurred while we were out, but we are unable to detect where they are.
