Really great. Not messy. My babies LOVE THEM. When I first got my Tiger Oscars, Dale and Leo, Dale was eating everything. Leo on the other hand wasn't. I was feeding them Tiger Oscar pellets. My Aquarium is a 20 gallon to start with since they are babies. I am going to be getting a 75 gallon soon. My aquarium was cycled with all the gravel, plants, driftwood, rock, decorations, filter, heater, digital thermometer, for a while before I got Dale and Leo. Then after I got them, I waited a day before I fed them. Dale was eating well, Leo would spit the pellets right out. He would do so for a couple days. I checked all my water levels, came back fine, everything was fine. But Leo still wasn't eating. Dale was. Then I noticed that Leo had this white, stringy, jelly like stuff hanging from his stomach sack. He wasn't going the bathroom or anything He couldn't get it out. I immediately thought, Leo was going to die or he has some kind of disease, that's why he was always hanging around by the heater or by the corner during feeding time, and would come near the pellets, then immediately spit them out and swim away, while Dale would eat everything. I went to pets mart, told my story and situation. They were so helpful. This guy basically told me Leo was starting to or had a intestinal problem. So he told me instead of all these medicines, because some can cause other problems, to try feeding both of them some blood worms once a day for a while. So I did. And let tell you. it was like a life savor. Leo did a complete like 360. He is like a new fishy. They both gobble them up like there's no tomorrow. They love them. No white stringy stuff. nothing. both swimming around happily. nothing. They don't even fight over the food. It's amazing. If anyone has trouble trying to thaw them out a little bit, what I do sometimes, is get a small cup, not any of my good cups I use, take some aquarium water, fill it up a little, drop it the blood worm and let it thaw out a little, you'll see the blood worms start to separate a little. I do this so both Leo and Dale get somewhat of an equal share. All in all, it helped Leo with his intestinal issue, and they love them as food or as a treat, they definitely go crazy when they see me come up with my cup filled with blood worm, they go absolutely nuts, practically jump out of the water for just 2 week old babies. I would go and get some if your fish aren't eating anything your giving them, or if they are having some intestinal problems, or just as a little treat. It's so worth it.
Pros: price, high quality, taste

I recently purchased some Glowlight Tetras that weren't eating. I tried flakes, pellets, veggies you name it. I then purchased some of these frozen blood worms from my local Petsmart and thawed them out in a bit of tank water. The tetras went nuts! I highly recommend this product not only for its palatability but its sold at a great price too!

I bought these expecting the typical, just a few fish eat it and others hate it. However, every single fish in my tank from danios, to black ghost knife fish, to green spotted puffer ate and loved these! The only downside is they seem to not like the flakes and shrimp pellets and other general fish foods as much anymore. Its almost like it spoiled them.

My betta and catfish LOVE these!!!! The only problem is that most of them float so my betta ends up eating most of them. They used to not float but now most of them seem to be.

if you have live bearers you need to have this food. i had never used these and was not to excited about anything blood being in my tank. but the woman assured me that they would be a hit and be great for my fish. i have to say......she knew what she was talking about! they are a huge hit and i can't seem to put enough into the tank to last 3 min. easy to use.... no smell to them and they are enjoyed by even my small neon tetras! i must say...if you are a first time user....expect them to eat 2 times what you think they will at first. i found i was running out twice as fast as i thought i would! great food for the fish.
