Not that I'm eating it myself, I just love that my fish love it.
Those of you who are just plopping the whole cube in all at once...you're doing it wrong! And yes, these can be messy, but you can control the mess.
You don't just plop a whole cube in the tank all at once, that's just silly. Get a small glass, fill it halfway with tank water, and put your cube IN THE GLASS OF TANK WATER. Let it thaw in the tank water in the glass. Then, take a fish net, and over your sink, pour the thawed food into the net. This cleans away the funky water and preservatives that may have been used in manufacturing. Then, put a bit more water into the glass, not too much, just a couple of tablespoons. Add the food back into the glass from the net. Turn off your tank filters, and slowly pour the food into the tank, a tiny bit at a time. Give the fish a few minutes to eat it all, then add a bit more, until the food has all been eaten, or the fish are no longer interested. Turn your filters back on, and discard any uneaten food.
I have been doing it this way for years, no messes, we're all happy. :-)

The second I put the block in my tank it expanded and got all over my tank. My 2 guppies did like it, but I had to spend an hour cleaning. Luckily, I brought a new filter that night (Aqueon QuietFlow 10) and it cleaned up well.

Fish loved it, we didn't. This disaster started when I went to the petstore to check that my fish was healthy(which FYI poor fishy has a bacterial infection). And I decided to test out a treat for her because her friend(also my beloved fish)passed away. We left it frozen for a couple of days. Iam so glad we did or our tank would be a mess. So we plopped the foul green square in and waited. It fell behind our tree decoration eventually. My poor fish couldn't find it so I went to move it. KABOOM!!! It was like a little algae bomb went off. Food (more like disgusting glop)flew everywhere. It got stuck in the plants and floated in the gravel. So my fish was moving faster than I'd ever seen her move and gulping little bits up. It was a pain it the neck to clean out. I would not recommend this at all.

Cons: smell, low quality

My fish love this type of food. Their color immediately deepened and brightened once I began to feed this diet. However, be careful with frozen fish food.
If it thaws you must throw it away. Do not re-freeze this stuff, it could poison your fish and cause a massive die-off in your tank. Always keep this frozen until you need it.
