My cat will, for the most part, only eat the pate form of any cat food. He likes his canned food smooth. He doesn't like chunks, bumps, or bits. He doesn't like cat foods with slices with gravies. The only time I can get him to eat anything chunky or shredded is when we splurge on the expensive cat food around 1.50 a can, or so. I can't even do that more than a couple times a month because he won't eat them. My cat likes Purina One in the pate form. He eats the beef, turkey, and chicken flavors. These seem to be the only non-fish pates that Purina One makes. It would be great to see additional flavors such as liver, lamb, duck, in the pate flavors. The reason I like Purina One Pate cat foods is that they are one of the few companies that clearly mark their cans "pate" or "gravy" or "sauce." It is so very helpful that they clearly mark their cans this way because it is so frustrating trying to read the small print on cans to see if the food is chunky or smooth. I would probably try many more brands if they would a) make it in pate and b) clearly mark on the front of the can that it is pate. We are very satisfied with Purina One Pate foods.
