It is a good cage but after a while the wheel gets loud and is horrible! I would recommend this cage for first time hammie owners

so I have had my mouse for about a year now and if I had to say the one bad thing about this cage it would be the wheel. For me the wheel is loud, gets very dirty quickly, and is kind of cheap. I would totally recommend this cage, but just get a different wheel. The cage is easy to assemble and is just the right size for my mouse. The other concern that I have is the small holes where you attach the bottom piece to, it kinda leave these wide hole at the four corners of the cage and my mouse sticks her head out of the sometimes so I got scared that she could get out so i put some twist ties across them. Oh and my mouse broke off a bar at the top of the cage so idk if that would be my fault or just an accident. but overall I can live with the cage just get a new wheel.

Pros: easy to clean

this cage is great! the only flaw is the wheel is a little small for teddy's but other wise its WONDERFUL i had to get a new cage for my hammy because my hammy was chewing and scratching at it and i didn't get much sleep and i had stop here plus she escaped a couple times i really wanted a different one but when my parents chose this one i thought i wouldn't like it but i love it! u can rearrange it 2 the water bottle isn't small at all if u add lots of toys the ground will be coverd so don't put to many and at first i put the ledge was upside down so i changed it and the food dish stays on because you put it on a little mountain\plastic that is lifted that is just tall enough to stay so i totally recommend it and the hammy doesn't need tubes cause they climb the bars and my hamsters some times chews the bars but not enough to wake me up so enjoy! :)

Pros: stylish, easy to clean, sturdy

So after throwing out my previous expensive cage that I hated cleaning, I decided I needed a simple cheap cage. Well boy is this ever cheap. It was easy to assemble but the clips on the side would NOT clip into the base, they're not made correctly to begin with. But after some adjusting I got them to work and I've not had a problem since. The wheel did not work so I had to buy a new one, but considering the price I can't really complain. The water bottle is actually the only water bottle like this I've had that doesn't leak. At first I couldn't find the clip for the bottle(it was inside of it, who would have guessed). The entire bottle did leak in one day once but hopefully that is not a common occurrence. The shelf is also kind of annoying to take in and out for cleaning but my hamster loves the tube. So all in all, 11 dollars for a cage that has small problems that many more expensive cages have, good by me.

I bought this cage for my mice about a year ago. I really like it. the cage is easy to clean and is a good size for mice to run around in. The only issues i have is with the accessories. I replaced the water bottle becuase the water bottle that comes with the cage leaks, so i (replaced it with Lixit flip top waterbottle which i recommend). I also replaced the original wheel with a silent sinner because the original wheel was too loud. Overall i think this is a great cage especially for the price!

My Fancy short-hair Teddy Bear Ji-Sung (named after my favorite soccer player) was getting a little big for his old cage so I bought one of these. They come in either green or blue and I bought the blue in store. There were some issues with this cage right out of the box however, such as a broken hook and the metal latches don't line up correctly with the plastic base, as well as some paint chips. These are mostly cosmetic issues though since my hamster can't lift up his cage so he won't escape. The price is great for this size of a cage but the water bottle and wheel are a joke. I had to buy larger ones for my Teddy bear hamster. I like the white bars and the blue plastic base since it matches well with my other cages and supplies. My Ji-Sung seems very happy in his new cage! To clean just pop the latches and lift the metal cage part right off and dump the bedding out. It's very easy which is great for me. Overall worth the price even with the small issues.

I know...the Summery title and the Overall Review do not reflect my rating of the actual product. This would be a great little cage if only for one problem...Here is my story. I just purchased this cage for my mouse an hour ago. It says on the box "Perfect for Hamsters, Dwarf Hamsters. Mice and Gerbils"...Well, I assembled the cage as directed and set the whole thing up. When I put my mouse in the cage it only took him 30 minutes and he slipped right through the bars. I called PetSmart so to let them know what happened and they were kind enough to tell me to bring it back to see what else we can find that would be more suitable for him. I am going to go there after work. The only problem is, What can you put a mouse in that they won't escape??? Sad because this is a surprise for my daughter. I have this little guy running around in a ball with me at work....HELP!

It is only good for a temperary cage while I clean my other hamster cage. When I first got it I was suprised how small it was. But I really didn't mind because it was only a extra cage. It was also very hard to clean and assemble at first. I just find I have to wiggle everything in. Also the water bottle is great! My hamster doensn't mind being in their for the time of his cage cleaning!

This cage is a good sized, durable wire cage, perfect for hamsters, gerbils and – in my case – mice. My mice love the tube that attaches to the second floor, which is kind of small, but that's alright. I noticed some people had problems with the water bottle, and so did I at first, but that was only the first time. After the first use, it worked fine. My only - and maybe a big one – problem is that the wheel is utterly obnoxious. I've installed it in different places all over the cage to see if that would help, but it's the center piece that is so loud. I'm going to have to replace that so I can finally get some sleep. One morning, I woke up at four because they were so loud and detached the wheel just so I could sleep in quiet for a bit. Overall, this is a good cage, perfect size for a small room or an apartment and my mice are happy with it, so that's what is important to me. I do recommend this product, but I suggest buying a silent wheel!

I had two gerbils with this cage and they loved it. It was the perfect size, straightforward to put together, nondrip bottle, and very fun and handy second level. Which really used the space great! I plan on getting a syrian so do you think it would do well in there???? Thanks!

This cage is amazing for dwarf hamsters! It's sturdy and pretty big. I don't think it would do well for a Syrian hamster, though, you would need a bigger cage.

I Got a Asian dwarf hamster off of craigslist and also had this cage, i never had the water bottle, but the wheel is SO loud at night that i put him in the bathroom! It is a good cage, easy to clean, and i do not recommend it for rats or big/fat hamsters. My dwarf is skinny, but he barely fits in the thing. Overall, i find it just fine... For now at least. I Will be Breeding My Dwarfs(:

This cage is way too small for your hamster, even a dwarf. It is soooooo tiny I'm not even joking. Its an okay "travel" cage. It'd be pretty neat to have this little thing to keep your hamster in for a car ride on vacay. But JUST as a carrier, you'd have to bring a bigger cage for it. Overall, I do NOT recommend this cage to anyone.
