I really like this dog food and more importantly, so does my dog. I feed this to my older dog, a Leonberger/Chow Chow mix who is approching 9 years old. We adopted him three years ago and I have tried him on several differend dog foods but he just doesn't seem to like anything. He hated every Eukanuba and Nutro's that I bought for him and due to his dry skin (that he gets a shot for every six months) they did nothing that really impressed me in the nutrition area as they did nothing for his coat or skin. The vet recommended this a couple of months ago becasue it will help his skin and it will aid in the transition into his senior years.
He loves loves loves this food. He eats with vigor, the kibbles are just the right size (his teeth are very worn down from a hard life and reasons I can't fathom) for him to chew with ease. His coat is looking great, we are nearing the time for his shot to come due and we haven't seen any dry flakes or itchness, which is an exciting first.
We also feed our newly adopted five month old puppy the Pro Plan Lamb and Rice Puppy Formula and she is doing excellent on it.
I am just so relieved to have finally found a good dog food.

Pros: price, high quality, digestible, taste

I have fed various Pro Plan foods to my dogs over the years. A brand who have had few recalls its a name we can trust! I have fed Small Bites Lamb & Rice All Life Stages to my entire kennel for awhile now. From babies to my very old-timers everyone does great!

ProPlan Performance is by far the best all around food to feed! My dogs maintain their weight when working and showing which was a problem before I switched to Performance. Their coats stay extremely shiny and gorgeous! I would recommend this food to all breeders and anyone who has problems keeping weight on their overactive dogs!

Bella, an 8 year old Springer Spaniel, has a sensitive stomach. After trying many recommended brands she has been on this product for over a year and is doing nicely. For breakfast I add 1/4 cup of cooked rice and for dinner the rice plus string beans, peas & carrots, all nuked so it is warm. On Sundays she gets a raw egg for dinner too. Her coat glistens and she always gets good reports from the vet.
