My neighbor recommended me to the brand KONG, my pit-bull mix has had his for two months; the only wear and tear so far is a couple teeth marks. This is a solid rubber ball. I recommend use ONLY outside as it is heavy and if you don't have carpets like me it sounds like a bowling ball dropping. I got one for my sister's dog, and my neighbor's boxer has his for over a year and still in great condition. I am going back to petsmark to get a small and medium/large for my mother-in-law's two girls. If you find a problem with them, I'd be shocked.

I have a new Pit and she destroyed a baseball in 3 days!! 3 days in now from purchase of the large Kong Extreme Ball and it is still going strong. The ball bounces very high and has some weight to it. Only downside for the ball is due to the weight it can be loud. Hope your pet enjoys as much as mine does!

My Black Lab is two and a half. She chews like I have never seen a Lab chew in my life. She loves to carry this ball around, hide it, then bring it around to hide it again some place else in the house after she is tired of playing fetch. ~ I am a KONG Extreme believer. They are the only dog toys that have lasted for many months.

This is a great toy for dogs that like to destroy toys with rough playing or chewing. I have a 11 month old Border Collie/Kelpie?Hound cross that has destroyed every toy I have gotten for her and my 5 month old German Shepherd but this has actually lasted and there isn't any tear what so ever. if you have toy destructive dogs then this is the toy for you. I put the con as loud because if you have hardwood floors when it drops it makes a very loud thud
