I really enjoy this product as it is a great tool to use while toilet training your cat. I recommend that you purchase BOTH the Litter Kwitter System AND the multi cat kit.
I only have 1 cat and I bought both products. The multi cat kit gives you the in between stages so that you can gradually increase the size of the hole. If you just use the basic set you will go from red to amber to green but the size of the whole is drastically bigger in each of these stages. The multi cat kit it gives you pans that go in between these stages so that the hole gets gradually bigger.
I found this to be very helpful in training my cat. We got all the way to the green stage. However my cat got very sick during this time and couldn't get to the toilet in time so we are starting over again with him back at the amber stage.

Not Easy Steps

I bought this potty training kit for my 5 mos cat. At first, the begining red one was OK but when she moved on to the amber one, the whole was too big and my cat's leg was fall in the toilet a couple times and she began to scare to do on the toilet sheet. I bought another company's kit. The material is not good as this one but this seems to be better cuz it has more steps.

Great Product, but does not fit every toilet

I was sooo excited when I ordered this product. I was hoping I could get my cat to use it. When I tried to put the seat on the toilet, it did not fit. The seat is oval and our toilet is round. There was now way I could get this to fit. I was really disappointed.

Need to be at home all day.

After reading the reviews, I have come to the conclusion that in order for this system to work you need to be home 24/7. They say that you need to clean the litter after it is used and to keep it clean.
I work and so I am away for 9 hours a day 5 days a week. I have 2 cats. Since I am the only person living here I cannot see this working for me.
I gave a 3 star rating because it sounds like a great product but it depends on your cat's temperment and our having patience. I would use it if I could be home.

I was skeptical but loved the results

Well Diana and I started down the road to losing her beloved litter box. The red stage was not bad as long as I cleaned it every time she used it. The orange stage well we still argued and she had a few messes. I moved her along as I saw she had the skills to progress, I thought I was living in the bathroom some days. Well at green she flourished. I even changed what toilet her training seat was on, and she still uses both. So a week later I put it away completely. NO messes all of her business is in the toilet. It did take 2.5 months, but once I started handing out kitty treats for business in the potty we caught right on.

Not worth the frustration

When I first purchased this item I, like many thought it was a fantastic idea and an end to messy, smelly litter boxes.. yes!!
STAGE 1 Was so happy when my cat easily made the transition from litter box to Stage one up on the toilet. He was both peeing and pooping up there and that was a great beginning because we thought it would be a winner for sure but NOT!!!

STAGE 2 the headaches started.
Stage two scared the heck out of him, as now there was a hole there. A big hole, much too big to introduce as second stage, so he refused to urinate in there. He did continue to leave feces on it but started spraying all over the bathroom floor and even in the kitchen sometimes also..

We tried everything from going back to stage one, to making the hole of stage two smaller and even putting the red tray underneath so he could not see the water..and looked for advice on line and in forums about his recessions and spraying (they all said it takes time and gave tips, but nothing worked. Believe me we tried it all as we were very determined.

But after almost 5 months now of back and forth from stage one to stage two we have now put stage one back onto the floor and though he still leaves his feces in there he is still spraying all over the bathroom.
I am a very patient person but this item drove us to the limit.
The mess was not the problem although for some who hate a messy bathroom well just be forwarned, it gets real messy real fast.

What was the problem it upset and traumatised my cat to the point I have no idea if he will ever be able to use a regular litter again with total security..

Truthfully it might work if you can stand the behavioral changes in your cat, have lots and lots of patience, endure the complete mess it makes of your bathroom and the arguments you might have with family members deciding if this is truly as great of an idea as you once thought..
Oh and get prepared for a long long, long process, with lots of recessions .. Good Luck

This product is excellent, but I gave it 4 stars because it does not come with a tiny scooper. A regular sized scooper does not work. So be prepared for that. I have been using disposable plastic spoons to help me clean the Litter Kwitter after she uses it.

However, this product is very sturdy and it is not hard to use! My cat moved from having the red stage next to the toilet to on the toilet with no problem. As long as you have patience this product will work!

This product is the best cat toilet training system available! Yes, it costs more than some others, but it is sturdy and built to last. The dvd provides insights into cat mentality and shows that you're modifying your cat's behavior with each stage. Even if you only have one cat, DO purchase the multicat kit in addition to the Litter Kwitter, it helps smooth out the transititons of the training discs. My five felines are doing extremely well and I have very high hopes that this product will help me "say goodbye to the litterbox forever!"
P.S. Don't RUSH YOUR CAT THRU THE PROCESS!!! I tried this before and failed because I was impatient. I thus upset my cats' routine and had subsequent messes.
