i had problems with getting my pH up for my cichlids, probably because i was irresponsible and didnt clean the filter very often. anyway it raised my pH from a 6.0 to a 7.5 in one dose for my 55g tank. dont do this with sensitive fish in the tank because they might freak out about the sudden pH change.
