We got this cage in all black for a new pair of rats. They are juveniles, so small bar spacing was a must. I also did not want all the premade levels/ramps, as I wanted to make the cage custom for them and this cage was perfect. This cage has plenty of horizontal AND vertical room for them. We actually turned the wire grate for the bottom of the cage into a couple of levels for them, and used basswood and balsa for ramps. They really love climbing up to the 'attic'. A couple of safety pins keep the hinged doors and middle sliding door from being opened. There is still plenty of room to add new toys after they get settled in. Overall this was a great first home for them at a great price - highly recommend!!

This is a wonderful sturdy cage for the price. I've had smaller cheaper cages for my lovebird, but this one is my favorite! It is very roomy for him to spread his wings and play with all of his toys. I love the large swinging door on the front of the cage. It allows for easy access throughout the cage and it makes cleaning a lot easier. Like another reviewer mentioned, be sure to take accurate measurements because this is a large cage. I did not buy this cage preassembled, but I found it very easy to put together!

This is a big and sturdy cage but the bottom grill does NOT slide out for cleaning with the bottom tray so when it gets soiled, you have to pull the whole cage off the bottom. Otherwise, it's a good design. The front door could be a bit roomier but overall, I'd buy this cage again.

The first thing you need to know about this cage is that it is huge. Be sure and measure carefully if you are buying this cage, that wherever you are going to put it, it will fit in the space. I buy the largest cages I can for my birds, to give them freedom of flight, but I also like a cage that has some style. This cage is very easy to get into; it has a large swinging door in front. The water and seed openings are on a hinge, which is nice, and the construction is very good. The less expensive cages have rather flimsy construction; this one is solid. I have three spice finches in here, with several perches, a rattan nest "box", and a medium size swing. They are having lots of fun flying around. If you have the room for it, this will be a great choice. I bought it at the store, so I did not have to assemble it myself.

Great cage for the price

I have two lovebirds and I bought them each their own cage. They absolutely love this cage and have plenty of room to move around. I have plenty of room to put a variety of toys and perches without making the cage "overcrowded." The only downfall for me (I'm a petite person) is that I need another person to help me attach perches/toys/dishes ect to the back of the cage because it is very deep. A small door on each side would be helpful. Otherwise great cage!!!
