Poor Construction and Design

When my males cats use it, they urinate high, so the urine will leak out of the crease of the halves. The bottom half needs to be higher or the closure of the two halves be better sealed to keep urine from getting in and leaking out.

This is a great size for multiple cats and it's a plus that it fits in the corner of the laundry room, but I only gave it 3 stars because it seems the opening is way too big and I wish it had a handle. I don't like the idea of being able to "see" so much of the interior of the box. Even though I scoop every evening it seems I can smell the litter more with it being so open as compared to the regular litter boxes I had before.

I like the space saving (corner) feature and the size, however; due to the low entrance my kitties kick out litter all of the time! It states the clumping litter will not stick to the pan, but it sticks quite often. Although my kitties like the large area and the depth of litter that it holds, I am going to look into other options due to the sticking and the kicking out of the litter.

I HAVE BOUGHT MANY LITTER BOXES IN THE PAST 5 YEARS FROM ELECTRIC TO PLASTIC AND I HAVE USED MANY DIFFERENT CLUMPING AND NON CLUMPING LITTER TO HELP. WELL I BOUGHT THE NATURE'S MIRACLE PRODUCT A YEAR AGO AND I AM SO HAPPY, SATISFIED THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE! MY CAT LOVES IT, I HAVE NO TROUBLE CLEANING IT AT ALL. IT FITS RIGHT IN THE CORNER, DOES NOT STICK OUT, NO SMELL ALWAYS EASY TO USE. Doesn't completely fix the problem for me

While this is better than my standard sized litter box, it doesn't completely solve the problem of leakage between the bottom and top of the box. My cat (a male Maine Coon) urinates along the sides and high, and as a result urine leaks out where the 2 pieces meet. I put a paper towel on the outside that I can change when necessary (several times a week) I agree with another review, the fitting should be on the inside, and maybe even have the bottom piece taller.

The design on this thing could be a lot better.
I have 3 cats (small, medium and large) and noticed one was sticking out a bit when she peed, thus leaving urine on the floor in front of the box. I knew I had to get a box with taller walls and this was the only one. I like that it is large and fits in the corner, but it really is too tall. As far as the curve at the bottom opening, it should be minimized because I've seen the urine just swoop on out! Sometimes the boy will urinate on the sides of the wall, so I've noticed another mess I have to clean the lid and in between where it meets. Also on the bottom part of this design is a lip all around that is a PAIN to clean. It should be a smoother design for easy cleaning/scooping. It is cumbersome and a handle would be nice.
As far as antimicrobial or odor blocking, I can't really tell the difference. But I can definitely tell you it's not a proper non-stick surface!
PLEASE RE-DESIGN THIS! I like the corner design and all three cats use it, but there are still some messes and it needs some work.

Great a first but later, surprise!

Loved the product at first - fit nicely in a corner, roomy enough for my two cats. Then one day, after a year or so of use, I smell a strong odor - there was a puddle under the litter box on the cork flooring that we have under the stairs. We thought the cats had peed on the floor which they do not normally do. We pulled the litter box out and put it on an old towel and started cleaning up. Then we noticed one of the cats urinating in the box and he sprays up and so urine was leaking through the attachment that holds the top to the bottom. Quite a lot was coming through. I always wondered why the attachment had urine on it but not to the point of causing a puddle on the floor. I have owned may litter boxes and never had this issue. I wouldn't recommend.

I have 3 furry guys and they love this litter box. There is enough room for them all to move around and do their business inside. One aims high and 2 aim low and never had a leak or any other issue. I love it so much I plan to add a second box to my house since the little one likes to sit on it and attack his buddies while they are inside doing their business. I highly recommend this product and it can recommended to me from my vet. I wont use anything else now.

I was hoping this litter box would somehow keep litter from coming out onto the floor but it's no better than a standard, cheap litter box because the litter still sticks to paws when the cat walks out; I don't know why I thought a different litter box would prevent that!

It's nice that it fits in a corner but it sure is expensive to buy the one with a lid, which doesn't do much except provide some privacy (not that my cat cares). I'm going to return the expensive one and get the cheaper version and still have the corner fit.

I bought this today and my two cats already love it! Its big and chunky but its perfect for cats who love to have alot of room while doing their business or the bigger cats. I line the box with trash bags so I dont have to scoop. The lid helps me alot due to my cats clawing at the bag and bringing the sides into the box with them. Im trying to find sifter liners that will fit this type of design. All in all a great product.

I've used these boxes for over a year now and hope they are never discontinued! (I try to buy new boxes at least every 12-15 months.)

I have 9 cats, 3 boys, 6 girls. I originally bought these boxes because the rule of thumb is one box per cat plus an extra. I was trying to skimp by getting larger boxes and I'm happy to report that it worked! I have four of these for my 9 cats and it works our perfectly. We clean them out every day and everyone is happy.

As for the leakage problems mentioned in other reviews, I've not encountered them. One of the males and two of the females like to urinate on the walls rather than the litter. I've never had a leak. I don't have overly large cats, most are 12-15 pounds so maybe I got lucky, but those must be big, big cats to be getting up above the lip of the floor of this pan!

I've put sections of indoor/outdoor carpet under my boxes to keep the tracking of litter down as no box I've ever used has been able to control the spread of litter. I have one girl who loves to leap out and somehow manages to take piles of litter with her each time. These boxes are no better or worse for us in terms of litter outside the boxes. (Flaps usually helped us, but one of our other girls refuses to uses anything with a flap, so that's out...)

As for smell, antibacterial etc.... I can't say it's better or worse than other boxes. They are cumbersome to clean, but since I have to do fewer of them, I'll take it!

Like other reviewers, a handle would be great and make this box perfect, but we've managed.

Overall, I love this box and would recommend it without hesitation.

Last note - Don't forget that PetSmart honors their return policies. If you don't like it, take it back to one of the stores and return it. (Do the employees a favor and wash it first, but they will take it back.)

Hooded corner Litterbox for Multi

This is by far the worse litterbox I have ever owned. It is good for corner but huge to wash/empty for Multi cats this is a weekly event. You must take top off to pick the box because it is hard to clean with shovel.
The worst part is
The front is dipped down so low that the litter is all over the floor when the cats cover there business.
Also the front where it dips gets stuck with wet litter. I have to smack outside of box to release litter.
I would not recommend this box for mulit cats. Yes. it is roomy but the low front is a nightmare. The litter seems to stick to sides unlike the Booda box where the litter falls off. I have four cats .

When I saw it, I had to have it. My male cat has always aimed too high and urine kept getting outside the box. I was looking for a hooded box that was big enough for his big butt and high enough to catch his urine. This worked great just like I wanted. And I'm glad because it was pricey.
The only thing I would change is how the lid connects-I'd like there to be a block covering the crack so that urine doesn't get under the edges.

great for my over-shooter

I bought a different litterbox before I switched to this one. The first one I had was very large and had a tall back, but my kitty always liked to do her business in the very front (the shorter end) and RIGHT next to the edge. She had never had a problems missing (or so I thought) until I caught her one day barely hanging over the edge. I will not stand for a cat urine smell in my house (yuck!), so I decided to try a different litterbox because I wasn't going to change where she liked to go in the box. I found this litterbox online (actually, the one without the hood) but when I went to Petsmart, the only one they had was the one WITH the hood. I bought it anyway.
I introduced it to her without the hood on it at first, and then set the hood somewhere else in the apartment so she could go underneath it and check it out. After a few days, I put the hood on the litterbox, and she's been using it great ever since! She still aims a little high but the high sides on this litterbox keep everything inside. Love it!
I can't really speak for the odor control or antibacterial stuff, because that's not really why I bought it. I didn't really notice a huge difference there.

We were going to buy the oval shaped box, but my husband talked me into this corner unit, instead. It doesn't stick out from the wall as far(we don't have it in a corner). The cats took to it right away, and seem to really like the privacy of a cover. When scooping the litter, I really don't need to remove the top, because it's so high, there's plenty of room to reach everything. The two male cats don't aim high when they urinate, so no worries about leaking through the lid. The wet litter doesn't stick to the bottom as much as our other box(just a plastic one made from an underbed storage container).

I have multiple cats and thought this box would be great. I was sold on this box after reading that this box controls odor, litter doesn't stick, and it was anti-microbial. All of which I have learned are not true. The litter box still sticks. In fact, i have to clean it every day or it smells. Worst part about the box is that the design of the lid allows the urine to seep through and get on the wall/ floor. I had to place a mat behind it. The only positive of this box is that the cats love the size of the box.

I was intrigued by the claims to "odor blocking, antimicrobial product protection and a non-stick surface", however, I didn't see how it could necessarily block odour nor did it seem to resist urine from sticking to it anymore than any other cat pan. I had hoped to get the oval-shaped design but my local Petsmart didn't cary it (and the shipping prices to Canada are ridiculous!) so I was stuck with the corner-shaped one. I had hoped it would be big enough to accommodate my cats but they had trouble getting comfortable in it. It was also the first time I had purchased a hooded litter pan and this seemed to scare them off from using it (though it was just a matter of cat preference). All in all, I regretted the purchase.

I was considering an electronic litter box, but after reading reviews and considering all the pro's and con's I decided that it just did not make sense to spend that kind of money on something that I would have to replace.

After looking at this litter box online I decided to go to my local Pet Smart and look at it; I was very pleased w/what I saw. This box fits perfectly in a little corner nook that I have in my bathroom (a convenient spot for the cats bathroom).

If not for the following design issues - I would have given the box a 5 star rating. I am happy enough with it to go back and purchase a second one.

Some folks were unhappy with the box lid not having a handle - I do agree that it would be useful (a design omission that I hope they rectify in the future), but I find that I do not need to remove the lid to clean the box (a very nice change indeed!). The opening is plenty big and the triangular shape also assists in ease of cleaning. My cats don't potty on the walls of the litter box, so I don't have a leaking problem, but I do agree that that is another design omission that needs addressing in the future. The only other thing I would strongly recommend for future improvements would be to offer a litter scoop cady.

I purchased the "Great Choice Cat Litter Scoop and Cady" at the same time - it fits perfectly on the front of the box. I also purchased a new metal scoop (yea - I have a plastic scoop that I won't use, but it was worth it for the cady) - it's the Whisker City metal scoop and I LOVE it!!!

The last two itmes I would like to recommend if you are re-doing your litter box set up is the purchase of a 4.5 liter Simple Human brand garbage can and liners (I found mine at our local Fred Meyer) - this is PURFECT for the disposal of your litter.

The last item I recommend is the purchase of "Fresh Kitty Cat Litter Box Organizer Waste Scoop Bag Refills"; I scoop my cat waste into the little blue bags, tie them off and put them in my new little 4.5 liter garbage can. I find this revision of handling my cat litter to be a 100% improvement over anything I have tried in the past.

Poor lid design

I love the shape and size of this box, especially with having 3 large cats, but....... if your cat pees high, it will leak out between the lid and box. The lid should of been designed to fit inside the pan, not on the outside. So I am kind of 50-50 in rating this box.
