I have spent so much money on grooming items and all I needed was this !! I had to take a double take or have my eyes checked. First my cats love this and the hair that comes off is amazing. I think that some of this hair that comes off is hair that is loose and ready to shed and this really cuts down on the fur balls. Whoever invented this is not only awesome but, a genius and must be a Gazillionaire by now. I think it should be mandatory that every owner has to own this along with the cat. So thank you inventor !!

This thing is awesome!

Someone recommended this to me, but when I saw the price I was really hesitant. I purchased it on a whim and after just trying it out at home, I came straight on here to leave a review! This thing is awesome! My cat's a Himalayan and no amount of daily combing/brushing has yielded THIS much fur! I have no idea where it's even coming from, but I threw out handfuls (literally) of excess hair. The brush is gentle and doesn't hurt her, and she seems to enjoy it (or at least tolerate it, lol). A tip is to comb through the fur first with a wide tooth comb to make sure there aren't any knots, then use this. It literally grabs up all the loose hair in the undercoat and she looks fluffier and shinier already. After one use, this thing has paid for itself as far as I'm concerned. A bit pricy, but I would highly recommend it! With shedding season around the corner, it's been worth every penny and I will continue to use it :)

I have two long haired cats and I have tried many brushes but none of them worked particularly well. I was hesitant when I saw the price of this brush but after reading the reviews, I figured it was worth a try. I have been using it for several days now and I cannot believe how well it works! I brush my cats daily but this brush made it seem like I never brushed them at all. It got out piles and piles of hair! It seemed like it got out a lot of the undercoat which can be hard to get to sometimes. Both cats like being brushed with it too. It really breezes through matting but be careful, it grabs onto the hair and can pull a bit. I even tried it on my other cat who has short hair and it got a bunch of hair out of him too. I'm so glad I purchased this brush. If you are wondering if it is worth it, it really is.

HAIRBALL!

This thing really works! But...my cat who is a medium hair doesn't particularly care to be brushed with it. I have a regular rake type brush that he prefers so I will start out with that then switch it out with the furminator and the difference is night and day. The regular rake has a little hair in it where the furminator has to be cleaned out several times before we're done. I think the regular rake brushes out the actual hair that's loose whereas the furminator will pull out some of the hair that's still connected and that's what my kitty doesn't like. He's getting used to it though. It may cut down on shedding but my cat still sheds all over the place! So I don't really know about that claim. My husband thinks it's creepy but I've been saving the hair I get and one day, I may see if I can make yarn from it! With a medium hair cat....I think it's totally possible! I've got quite the hairball already!

I'll admit, when I first saw the Furminator, I thought it was just another overpriced piece of hype. However, I have a long-haired cat who sheds all over the place and has some hairball issues. I'm so thrilled I gave this tool a try - with the very first stroke, the Furminator removed a handful of dead hair, and kept delivering with each one after. There's even a button that helps to eject the fur that has already collected on the brush. Once you've used it, you'll toss every other grooming tool you have.

When we first saw the FURminator, we were turned off by the price tag, but our only regret now is that we didn't buy it sooner. The tool gets deep into the undercoat and removes massive amounts of hair. The first time you use it, try to do it on a patio where you can collect the piles of fur that come off. The brush doesn't hurt our cat's skin and his fur is shinier and healthier now. Our friends have also told us that their cats who previously had hairball problems have greatly improved.

This product is incredible! I don't know how it works, but it combs out handfuls of old hair from my cat's thick, heavy coat. My cat loves it and begs to be groomed. I don't even have to use it every day. I have a drawer full of various brushes that didn't do the job, and can now be disposed of. I only wish this had been discovered years ago, when we had a long-haired Persian who had to be shaved now and then due to matting. The FURminator is absolutely worth the money!!!

The Furminator works great for dogs and cats of all hair types. It is particularly great for short hair dogs like labs and rottwielers as well as double coated breads like huskys and german shephards. The Furminator really gets those soft under hairs that get on your clothes after petting your furry loved one. And you don't have to press hard for it to work so your hand doesn't get tired!
Pros: Shed Prevention

I have a 12 and a half year old long haired cat, and I was at a loss what to do when I noticed clumps starting to form. The obvious option was to brush them out, but they were so knotted into the skin, it was an impossible task. Within a couple weeks, his entire body was covered in tight knots; you couldn't touch him without him yowling in pain. Finally I scheduled an appointment with a professional pet groomer, prepared to take on the task of shaving my poor Arrow, but at the last minute she cancelled. So I bought this product instead and LOVE it. It works great! It's very gentle on his skin, yet it gets those firm knots out while smoothing is coat. In an hour and a half, I managed to get one half of his side done with the FURminator. I will attach an image to show the first clump I got out in under 30 minutes. I will keep using this well after his knots are out...this is by far the best investment I have made for my pets; the price is well worth it and you can't buy anything like it.

My sister bought same product except for her dog. She had recommended it to me since I have three cats, two which shed like crazy. Since it was on sale, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy one. I chose to buy the one for Long Haired cats, even though two of my cats are short haired. It works fantastic on both! I spent approximately 10 minutes brushing my one short haired male, and could not believe the amount of old fur that came off him. His coat feels amazing, and when I pet him, no fur flies off him! He absolutely loved me brushing him too, which could be a huge challenge in the past. I can't wait to finish my other two! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with either a cat or dog, especially short haired ones as I find they shed the most. A definite must have!

This thing is amazing!! It may seem expensive for just a grooming tool, but it is definitely worth the investment. I have a Siberian, and even though I groom him regularly, he's prone to getting knots in his fur, especially around his belly and "armpit" areas. The knots would get to the point that I'd have to take my cat in to have them shaved off. Not anymore! This de-shedding tool gently removes the knots as well as any loose fur. Now if only I can get my cat to lay still long enough...he hates being groomed, but he'll sit for a bit longer when I use this tool...

I have a Seal Point Himalayan and as you know they shed a lot, get mats and all the brushing in the world doesn't stop it all. This product is AMAZING! Her coat was silky smooth and shiny after use, I couldn't believe all of the hair I got from it.... phenomenal!

I bought this for my long haired cat. It worked great! Especially since she is usually not a fan of being brushed but she loved this brush. I gave it a try on my short haired cat and even though it is meant for long hair... it seemed to be workin wonders for short hair too! All around this is the best investment I have made in getting the cat hair in my apartment under control.

I have a short haired cat that I recently adopted and originally bought a $13 regular brush. I found that it didn't really do anything and she was shedding everywhere. So I exchanged the brush for the furminator after reading a lot of very positive reports. It's incredible how much fur it removes when compared to the regular brush. I actually bought the long hair furminator as my cat has quite dense fur and the longer teeth means it can get right down to the undercoat. I would highly recommend this product.

This is THE BEST invention I have ever spent money on! I was lucky enough to have only paid $34.99 for the Memorial Day Sale! My cat HATES to be brushed, ever since she was a kitten I have gone through about 5 different brushes and "de-shedding" tools and this is by far the best investment you can make! My cat actually doesn't mind her brushes now, I guess because the brushing feels more like the same sensation she gets from when I run my nails through her hair. It’s gentle too! The hair on my cats back has fallen off, it’s very patchy and she is very sensitive in those areas (thus her having to result in wearing t-shirts), and the FURminator is gentle enough in these areas as well.
My only advice; go in the direction of the hair growth and sweep up-ward!
I will defiantly go back and buy the my FURst Furminator for my 10 week old kitten!
Pros: shiny coat, Shed Prevention, gentle

I have used the Furminator on all three of my cats.
My Maine Coon is not a fan (oddly enough he was the one I bought this for) however, my short hair calico and short hair tuxedo cats both love this.
It removes the undercoat without yanking out/ripping hair and allows for both cats (who allow me to use it on them) to have a nice soft sleek coats.
The Furminator is a bit pricier than it's competition, but I believe it is definitely worth it.
Use wise I use it every few weeks (or when the kitties are feeling a little bristly) for a few minutes at a time
