My Australian Shepherd puppy was rescued from a shelter. The vet thinks because of being kept in a cage she became anxious, stressed and, therefore, began eating her own stool. It's been a bad habit I've been trying to get her to abandon. I tried a certain powder. Before she'd eat half of her stool, but then she'd eat it ALL! I tried these vitamins and it semi-helped. She actually eats half the tablet as if it were a treat. In the end, it helped her digestion with the food, I was ultimately able to monitor her potty habits, and pick up her stool before she got the chance of even smelling it. This got her to pay less attention to it. Otherwise, I think, she would still be eating it. That's why it's a yes and no for me.
Pros: easy to administer

I buy the Stool-No ULTRA and have used for 3 years. MY Jack Russell Terrier never ate her own stool, but ate my OTHER dog's stool. So...I give it to the OTHER dog and JRT will not touch it. I give it EVERY day--without fail and it works!
Pros: easy to administer, works great

I've been using this for about 2 weeks on my 15 week old puppy and she's still eating her feces...sure I can blame myself because I didn't get it away from her as fast as possible, but she's lighting quick! Most dogs look back and sniff and she just inhales it! Sometimes she doesn't even bother, so not sure what the issue is...she's eating the right food, the right portions, etc...would appreciate advice too but I can't fully endorse this product because it doesn't seem to be effective after 2 weeks of trying.

worked well for my puppy eating his own stool, but I would like to know if i can give it to my cats to stop him from eating their stool.
