My Dalmatian blew out his knee. Vet suggested $1500+ surgery. We couldn't afford it. We already had a Siberian Huskey that came back fron not being able to climb stairs (or run) while using this product. We decided to try this on our Dal. Vet said he would probably end up with a stiff leg that wouldn't bend so well. Long story short--after a year on the tablets he runs, spins, jumps, and gets up and down without stiffness. There is a slight stiffness when rising, but afterall, he is going on 10 years old now. For both of our dogs to recover so well is sure worth the price of the product. No more falling down stairs etc., to freedom of motion.

A store clerk recommended this for my large dog after he was in an accident. He broke his front leg at the top joint and was having trouble walking when the weather turned colder. I could tell a huge difference after one dose. You can barely tell he has a limp now that I give him 2 a day.

I have two pomeranians (7 lb & 11 lb). They are both rescues with joint issues, but after using the supplement they both get around so much better. They climb steps without doing the bunny hop due to their hip issues. I can definitely tell the difference when they have been off of them. I agree wholeheartedly that they do not smell great, but for some reason, my 11 pounder doesn't mind. She chews both flavors without hesitation. The 7 pounder is a little more finicky, so I crush them up and put them in her food bowl...she doesn't seem to mind when I do that! My only complaint is the price. I've been getting them on sale for the 120 ct for around $25, but recently they have been on sale for around $40 +. Note to Petsmart: With my very tight budget, I can't afford the price increase, so now I'm having to shop around for a better price & comparable product! I'm very disappointed.

My Golden turned her nose at these....they do smell bad...no matter what i did to disquise it she still spit it out! You cannot return once you open it.

Our dog is rejecting this supplement and he is not a picky eater. It has a strong medicinal smell and we have tried to hide it in his food and he eats around it. It is a chewable one too!! (Beef Flavored)

We have a very active 3 yo black lab who is always out running with the horses or me, hiking/ trailing, swimming and "helping" us with farm work. She's on the move non stop. We noticed her starting to slow down and become very stiff and lathargic. After a talk with the vet, he suggested finding a joint supplement becuase despit her age she is overly active and will have alot of damage to her joints.
We started using this product about 2-3 weeks into it there was a HUGE difference in our lab. She was like a puppy again, energetic, excitable and most impotantly less stiff and more mobile. The tablets do smell but we just put them in with her breakkfast and she doesnt even notice! Love love love the difference Ive seen.

Our lab hurt his back leg/hip a month ago. The vet gave us a prescription to give him for four days and too keep him calm. As soon as he went off the presciption he started limping immediately. The vet gave one more round of the anti-inflamm. pill and suggested we start him on a vitamin. Went to Petsmart that night and picked up a 60 ct of this vitamin. He didn't care for them out of the container but I break them into halves add a little peanut butter on it and he loves it. He hasn't limped anymore, runs hard again, and a beautiful coat. The pills are about the size of a penny/nickle.

My energetic 3 year old golden retriever / labrador mix was recently diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia after sudden leg pains when jumping on to the couch. I bought these joint supplements before my vet gave me any dosage information for glucosamine. My vet recommended a human supplement with a dosage amount of 1500mg glucosamine per day for a dog his size (~75lbs). That would add up to 3 of the GNC Ultra Mega Hip & Joint Health tablets per day. No problem right? Wrong! When you open the container of the "Dreamy" Peanut Butter flavored tablets, it smells like pure chemicals. My dog spits them out even when given with treats. When crunched up and put in his food bowl, he even avoids eating because of the taste/smell. That's uncommon for any lab. My latest attempt at getting him to eat these tablets was crushing them up and mixing them into peanut butter. It's working so far... but in the long run I will need to make some changes to avoid weight gain. It takes a while for glucosamine supplementation to be effective for dysplastic dogs (4-6 weeks), but I did notice very quickly a positive change in his coat - very shiny and beautiful. This is most likely attributed to all the extra supplements in these tablets (fish oil). These tablets are pricey (if you have a large dog they will be used up twice to three times as quickly). I will likely switch to a different supplement after these are used up.
Pros: shiny coat, will help joints in the long term
Cons: dog doesn't like them, smell, large chewable tablets
