East to follow instructions (2 tbsp water per 1 tbsp mix). Refrigerate mix after opening (this helped with clumping due to humidity). Newborn kitten went through one large can in 4 weeks. Have since bought another can and started mixing in chicken flavored baby food to start the weening process.

None of the four kittens I'm fostering took to this product at all. I began trying with them at approximately 3.5 weeks, mixing as directed by the packaging (3 tbsp water per 1 tbsp powder.) Tried it multiple times a day; warm, room temperature, cold; nothing. They are nearing 6 weeks now, and still completely uninterested. Even dabbing a bit onto their lips and having them lick it off has no effect on their desire to eat/drink this product.

Decided to take a different route in the weaning process, using canned wet food pate. Naturally, this did the trick, and one $0.89 can provides the equivalent of 16+ servings (the four kittens split a quarter of a can per meal, with some left over.)

The $13 and change wasn't entirely wasted, though; as their 1-year old momma loves the stuff. I use it to disguise her liquid antibiotic twice a day.

The availability of a smaller (and cheaper) package size would've been nice, so I wouldn't have had to spend this much money on a food product the kittens will never eat. Consider asking about the return policy before you decide to try this. Once their momma has finished her medication, I'll be donating the rest (95% left) to the local vet.

Pros: easy to administer

Cons: price, didn't work

The replacement milk was easy to mix and dilutes well. The instructions for mixing were easy to understand and follow.
The milk smells appetizing (irresistible) to the 3-4 week old kitten who took to it immediately. I was happily surprised to know that after opening it must be refrigerated and only keeps for only 3 months. Thus must not have preservatives.
