Get the ones that have mesh instead

These don't sift well and waste a lot of litter. I used these for awhile and then tried the kind at the other big pet retailer that actually have mesh in the bottom of the liner. It made a huge difference.

Great when it works

These liners are a snap to use when they work--just lift the liner, and the clean litter drains through. However, occasionally there's a batch in which the holes are not properly punched through the plastic sheeting so that when the liner is lifted, NOTHING drains through! I'm coping with this now and using my fingers to poke the holes open--not pleasant! PETSMART is sending me a replacement, which will hopefully be a better batch. As long as PETSMART will replace the occasional bad box for me, I'll continue to use these. With a little better quality control, this could be a great product.

my daughter began buying these liners to sift her cat's litter. we really like the ease of sifting. our only problem is we need replacement rubber bands. the cat keeps snapping them.

The sifting Liners are worth if you have lots cats

Ok, Let me just start off my saying.. "YOU HAVE TO BE SMARTER THAN THE TOOLS YOU ARE WORKING WITH". These do work but you'll have to put in a little bit of effort as well. MY situation was this.. we have two cats, 1 fairly hefty and 1 that is spunky and slim, both are about 2+ years old. We were just using one liner with scoopable litter, BUT low and behold, when they did their business, the back of the box where the liner comes up from the litter and covers the back top of the box would be shredded by both cats in 2 days, AND WE SCOOP both days. SO, to alleviate scooping so much we went to Sifting Liners, but the problem was how do we keep the cats from tearing the liners so they work? So I 2 of the same pan. I used 1 pan as normal.. Putting a regular Liner in there to start, THEN lay the sifting liners on top of that. (NOTE, I put 2 litter pans that had high sides so that is made a fairly deep pan). cut the bottom of the 2nd unused pan out so it was just a sides (or the walls). Pour the litter in descently deep, and put the pan with the bottom cut out of it in there where it was up a few inches (to keep the cats from scooping out the litter as they covered up). every 2 or 3 days, we take out the pan with no bottom, remove a liner, replace pan with no bottom.. WAH-LAH..the cats can't get to the sifting liners and nothing is tore up. For those that can't think out side the box (no pun intended), think about things.. try things.. you'll figure out works best for you. But Sifting Liners work if you know how to prep the box. OH, and at the end of the 10 sifting liners, we just use the solid liner, that was added first during setup, to remove the rest and start all over again with fresh litter..

I am a lazy cat box cleaner and this has solved so many problems I have a cat that goes in the same place and we have a huge mess in couple of days, these liners are so easy, no chiseling packed messy liter off the side anymore! Yay!

Save your money

Unless you use an extremely thin layer of litter, which is not appropriate anyway, the sifting sheets will prove more trouble than they are worth. It takes forever to sift litter through the sheets which do not have enough holes in them. It's quicker and simpler to just use a scooper. Great Choice seriously needs to improve the design!
Also fyi: the entire package is designed for only one litter box. If you have more than one, you would need one package per litterbox, due to the package containing only one solid bottom liner and one rubber band. The rubber band doesn't really help anyway - only hinders the process of lifting the sheets.
Overall the product is too expensive to use in a multi-cat household, and the design is too poor to bother with at all. Don't waste your money!

These are the greatest liners ever...by far the easiest way to keep the litter box clean...you must use hard clumping litter and I have never had a leakage problem to bottom layers as some other users have had...either they didn't use clumping litter or didn't use enough...great product...and economical too...

Wet Stinky Mess

I've had cats for 50+ years and a variety of litter pans and products and this is the worst! When the cats use the litter box, it goes straight through to the bottom layer, soiling ALL of the liners in one day. I try lifting a single layer and some litter falls through the holes, but the layers are all stuck together by the mound of semi-clustered and semi-wet urine. What a total waste...and considerably more work. The remaining liners are going back to the store today!

The rubber band broke right from the beginning. Fortunately, we had a big rubber band of our own handy.
Since there is only one base liner, we figured that you have to buy a box of liners for each litter box you have. We have four cats, so you can imagine the expense. Not worth it.
When you try to lift the sifting sheet, the holes rip and you know what slips through anyways.
What a mess!
We find it less troublesome to scoop out the litter boxes the way we always have.
All I can think of for why some others like these is that they must use smaller litter boxes and don't use much litter. Perhaps they change the sifter sheets every day. I can't imagine otherwise.
We will not purchase again.

good alternative to scooping

The elastic band snapped within five minutes (probably due to the size of my litter box) but since it's a hooded box, I was able to still secure down the sifting liners. Works as it's supposed to which is a nice change from scoops. Only ripped if I had used a scoop and hit the bottom of the pan, but that was my fault for doing so. I recommend 'em :)

My mother is 90 years old and lives alone. I bought her these because I had tried them and loved them. It is so much easier for my Mom, she loves it! Someone said they couldn't use them with a covered box. But I do!

I bought these for the first time and love them. I wasn't sure how they would work so I peeled 5 off of the stack for each litter box, and did not have the bulky rubber band issue that others apparently had. After a few days, I just picked up the corners and the clean litter really did just sift right through. What a money saver because I had been changing the whole litter box each week, even with scooping litter. We have two cats, two regular size litter boxes and the size large sifters fit the boxes just fine. On one I didn't even use the rubber band because with only 5 liners to start the box top still fit snugly over the bottom. Read the directions and you'll love these!

Love the Sifting Liners

I have been using these liners for years. It is far easier and cleaner than scooping. I always have a gallon size freezer bag ready to put the liner plus waste into and the liners are big enough for any standard litter pan. When I hired someone to petsit while on vacation, the young lady thought they were great and planned to use them for her own cat. To solve the breaking rubber band problem, I just went to the local office supply store and bought a package of their largest size rubber bands (band breakage problem solved). All in all, I find these liners to be the cleanest way to get rid of our cat's waste.

Like many cat owners, I do not enjoy scooping the litter, so I thought these might help. But they were more of a hassle and pain than a relief. There was more mess and honestly the product did not perform well. Would not waste my money on these again.

We just moved from a Litter Robot to a regular box because our cats are getting old and finicky--and I dislike scooping so thought I'd try this. It looked simple enough--just lift and let the litter fall through. HA! If only it were that easy.
First, we had to switch litter boxes because even the extra large size liner was too small for the box we were currently using. Then, not all the liners fit under the rubber band. Then when it finally comes time to clean, you have to peel the liner out from under the too-tight rubber band (and if your cat has managed to urinate over the edge like mine do, then that's a wet smelly mess). Then you lift the bag up and...nothing. Barely a trickle of litter falls through. In order to get it to "sift" you have to grab each end and tilt the liner (completely filled)--back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, etc.--so that the waste and litter tumbles around while the litter continues to trickle out. Of course you have to make sure you keep hold of the gathered ends so the litter doesn't spill out the ends and back into the box.
In short, it's a nightmare. I can scoop the box with much less effort and in much less time than it takes to use these sifting bags.
Save your money.

Needs work

I bought this product for the first time a few months ago. Our cat litter box is 22" x 16" x 6". The liners fit the box well enough. However, the rubber band holding the liners around the edge of the box broke within the first two months. I had to knot it and still use it, but that was disappointing, and no extra rubber band was included.
While the sifting is less "yucky" than scooping, the litter is heavy, and trying to hold all sides of the sifting liner together until all the litter falls into the box (leaving the solid waste in the plastic liner for disposal) is very tiring. It also takes several minutes to complete the sifting.
Perhaps a different shaped liner would work better, or perhaps it could come with a drawstring to gather all the sides together. I will not buy this brand again.

My granddaughters each have a cat one is 7 and the other is 5, this is the first litter pan product they will use with no problem. It is so easy to clean, just sift daily with the bag. Requires much less litter, so that is good. Only thing is the rubber band always breaks about have way thru the supply of bags, I have tried to find replacement bands but not available. An extra band in the box would be nice.

Sifting Liners

I have tried almost every pan and system out there. Hooded, open, sifting pans and automatic electric pans. I have used these liners for years. I really liked that I didn't have to actually scoop by hand. The only issue I had was that I couldn't use these with a hooded pan. I have switched to another system that is hooded, but may end up coming back to these liners with a litter box enclosure.
