After trial and error with regular non clumping cat litter I have just began using this kind of litter. I live in a small apartment and so the smell has the tendency to overwhelm my dwelling. I have 2 fur babies and therefore require something as clean and easy as possible. This litter has easy clean up properties & as long as the cage is tended to each day it does not break down. I don't have to use as much as I did with the cat litter and find this product to be overall excellent.

Headache! Literally :(

The smell of this stuff gives me a headache. I know that the ingredients only say "cellulose fiber, calcium carbonate" but it definitely has a distinct odor. I might have to put this stuff in my flower beds and find something else to use, its just too powerful! I can smell it within 4 feet of the cage or constantly (in the same room regardless of distance) when I have the ceiling fan on. I gave a neutral review to not affect the ratings in general, but if you find that you're sensitive to any scents you might want to visit the store and sniff the bag before buying. Not only that but, when you walk in to your house do you (or your guests) want to smell the litter?
As to how well it works for my ferrets~ They potty on it, and I dump it out into a bag. There's no residue left behind, so it does its job. Is there a ferrety poo smell? I dunno, I can only smell the litter!

Basically the same exact thing as the Marshall Ferret Litter just cheaper! It's a great ferret litter.
