I have a Scarlet Macaw and an African Gray. They both love this food and I think it's a pretty good value. It has a lot of variety, seeds, nuts, and different shaped pellets to keep them interested. If it were up to my two they would live on peanuts, it's good to see them eat the pumpkin seeds and other stuff too.
Pros: price, high quality, taste

For Medium and Smaller Parrots, Not Large

I appreciate the market out there dedicated to birds, especially parrots.
But I do get frustrated when I purchase food for a 'large' bird - or the packaging shows a macaw and the food is smaller bits.
This food is perfect for a mini-macaw, amazon, or African-grey - ie medium sized parrots. But there are too many small pieces to satisfy larger birds such as the Blue & Gold Macaw, Greenwing, etc.
My birds kept moving out the smaller pieces to get to the larger appetizing pieces. The smallest bite they entertained in there for a while were the sunflower seeds.
So I find over 2/3 of the bag being wasted. I know parrots waste a small amount of food due to their habits, but this is a bit much.
I recommend a food with many many more larger pieces in it - to include the pellets being larger to truly accommodate larger parrots for feeding.
