Worked better than blue buffalo for my bulldog

My English Bulldog Mix had been on Blue Buffalo because it is a very good quality dog food and it is recommended for dogs with allergies. My bulldog mix, Gemma, did fine on blue buffalo, but after a while I noticed her getting constipated a lot. Bulldogs usually have allergy issues so I researched for a while on what dog food I was going to switch her to. I finally decided to give Nature's Recipe Easy-to-digest a try and so far so good. She hasn't had any constipation or anything, so I'm very happy with this dog food.

Switched my 3 year old Black pug to this food after a magget situation in her ProPlan. We alternate between salmon and chicken... Never an issue. She cleans the bowl... recommended this to my family and friends everyone agrees.

I have been feeding my boxer/collie mix this food for about a year. My dog loves this salmon food, I do not think the smell is bad at all come on people you are buying FISH. She eats the whole bowl of food and likes this better then chicken. I switched to grain free because my dog used to itch and scratch eating the food that has FILLERS which are foods that are primarily grain blended products.

I bought this particular flavor on accident, i usually get the chicken flavor grain free recipe. Well my little schnauzer did not approve of it at all. I thought he might like, i mean its salmon flavored, but the smell is so strong, he would only eat a couple of pieces and then walk away. This went on for a couple of days until i finally gave in and went and got him his usual. My little schnauzer seem to really enjoy the easy to digest grain free food, and it keeps him healthy and his coat always looks great.

Made my dog allergic to grains sick

I purchased this grain free food recommended by my vet for my dog who has allergies. He ate the food for three days before he became sick again. So now I have 20lbs of food that cannot be used. We still have not figured out what in the food could have made him sick since his allergies are to grains. I tried the food again after a few weeks to see if maybe he was just getting some sort of virus but the same thing happened again. It is unfortunate that I have to waste all of this food that he now cannot eat.

This is a great bag of food for dogs that have sensitive stomachs and allergies. My sister's dog had watery eyes, skin rashes and hot spots, and suffered from diarrhea and constipation. She frequently vomited. Her vet had her on all kinds of expensive medicines to control the symptoms of her allergies. After reading the reviews on this food, I thought this would be the best affordable food for her to be on. I made this recommendation to my sister. My sister started her on this food without any transition. Her dog did absolutely great on this food. She had consistent firm bowel movements, and the symptoms of her allergies decreased quickly.

Got Rid of Dog's Diarrhea!!

Ever since I adopted one of my dogs in 2006, he has had numerous bouts of diarrhea and just as many trips to the vet's office to relieve that diarrhea. The vet never found any reason for the diarrhea so I chalked it up to a sensitive tummy and tried to watch what he ate. I thought I was feeding my dog a high-quality diet but after more frustrating bouts of diarrhea I hit the internet in hopes of curing his problem. That's when I read that "grain-free" diets are best for dogs with digestive issues. This is the most reasonably priced grain-free dry food you can buy so I tried it and my dog LOVES the taste and even better his diarrhea is GONE!! I jump for joy whenever I see a solid stool come out of him and he seems more energetic. I wish the price were a bit cheaper but overall I'm very pleased with this product. At least the diarrhea vet visits have now stopped so I'm saving some $$ there.

I've got a Rhodesian Ridgeback with a sensitive stomach. I tried all sorts of foods with him and thankfully I found Nature's Recipe Grain Free. What a difference! As my vet told me, stool quality tells you a lot about your dog's health. As the guy that's resposible for picking up after him...I can tell you he's much more healthy!
Thanks for such a great product!

My dogs love the salmon!

I had to switch from a very expensive organic, grain free, whole salmon diet for my two dogs or we were all going to be eating cat food. It broke my heart, because they loved their food, and the salmon diet made their fur so silky and shiny, and they seemed so much healthier than they were before.
I chose this one as the next best alternative. They do love it, but I'm wild about some of the extra ingredients and the lower percentage of fish. After researching the product, I feel a bit better. It's still pricier than I expected, though.

My son told me about how grain free dog food was suppose to be better; therefore, I did my own research. Then I bought a bag of Nature's Recipe. My border collie loved it. Since she has been on this dog food, her bad breath has gone away, she is rarely gassy, her coat is shiny, and she rarely scratches. She also eats her dog food in one sitting instead of grazing on it all day. Also, her business is solid and firm and she doesn't go as often. Yes, the dog food is pricey but the benefits outweigh the price.

FANTASTIC!!!!

My Doberman Cooper, suffered for 5 years with skin allergies and a stomach that is sensitive that he would vomit every night about 3-4 am like clockwork. I tried so many different foods and even tried putting probotics on his food for digestive health, but it was always the same thing, he got terrible gas from everything he ate and would get sick every night. The vet put him on the stupid science diet prescription food that cost a fortune and that didnt help either. We lived with a painters tarp on 1/2 our bedroom floor where Cooper sleeps because I didn't want my carpet ruined. I finally tried Natures Salmon Grain free and it has been a miracle for me and for Cooper. Within a few days there was no more constant intestinal gas for him and no more nightly vomiting! He was obviously allergic to grains. I would recommend this food 100000%. So glad they came out with it. And I no longer have to keep a painters tarp on my bedroom floor. THIS FOOD IS TERRIFIC!!!!

I have 3 dogs of different ages and sizes. We chose the salmon blend, as one of them is allergic to chicken.
My lab loves all food, but not always a smart choice for her allergies and digestion. FOR YEARS, I spent $$$$ on different foods and medications. She struggled with diarrhea, itchy skin, ear infections, stinky breath, and being under weight. We got her on blue, which was great.. BUT she still was so sensitive! We finally did more research and chose this food. ALL her problems, except being under weight, HAS DISAPPEARED! She has gained 4 pounds though since we bought the food so she is gradually getting better! We have her on NO medications now.
The other 2, Silky-poo(5 mos) and schnauzer (8 mos), LOVE this food! They're stinky breath has ceased, they chew their food, and all 3 have less feces to clean up which means they get the MOST nutrients from this food.
The unique salmon blend for all life stages is great, and all my worries have finally simmered down. Now my babies are happy, healthy, and enjoying their favorite part of being dog, FEEDING TIME!

My 5-year-old bichon is a rescue, and she had lost some of her teeth from poor nutrition and being continually bred. This food is tasty and seems fairly easy for her to chew. I can add water and stir and she loves the sauce it makes.
She likes both the salmon and the chicken varieties. It seems to help with her itchiness from allergies. And it's made in the USA, which I look for in all her food and treats.
You will pay more for premium food but it's worth it in results. Besides, after the life my little dog had before, she deserves the best I can give her!

I did a lot of research before we brought our 2 year old german shepherd/husky mix home from the pound. I wanted to make sure we fed him a really good food that would make a difference in the long run. I knew fish oils were great for their skin and coats and that grain-free can be great for a number of problems. It is pretty pricey, especially when you're feeding a big dog, but it is worth it in the long run if we are able to avoid major health issues. I am with my dog all the time so I hadn't paid close attention to his coat, but we get compliments about how shiny and soft he is everywhere we go. He really seems to enjoy the food too! He stays active and fit! So if he is happy and healthy so are we!!

Finally found a dog food that really helped our lab with her ear problems. She suffered from ear infections for years and I have spent much money at the vet for ear rinses and creams. We concluded she may have an allergy to the dog food. Nature's Recipe Grain Free is the one that REALLY made the difference. She loves the food and I love that her ears are not bothering her anymore...no more extra vet visits, too!

Great Food

This is the best food. I have a boston terrier and she had horrible gas. We cut out all treats and tried 3 different foods before this one. Her gas was so bad she would regularly clear rooms. Now it is basically non-existent. I wouldn't say she loves the taste but she eats whats put in front of her. This food saved the day for us and we are back giving her treats too with no issues.

Good...but stinky

My shiba inu enjoyed this food but after two weeks he STUNK to high heaven. He smells exactly like a fish market. The food itself also has a pungent smell and you have to wash your hands really well to get the stink off. I would try another type of grain-free salmon based food if you can.
