I love the idea of this and since my husky and daschund spend all day on the second floor where there is no source of water I rather lug this up the stairs once ever day or two then two bowls every few hours. My dogs are scared of it they sniff it and walk away. I have tryed feeding them the water from it by hand but that scares them. If I give you hem water from a bowl by hand they drink it right up. If you could tell me how to make them drink from it I would love it.

I bought this waterer about a year ago and for what little I paid for it, it's perfect. I wasn't sure how my two cats and dog would react to having a waterer, so I wasn't interested in spending a lot of money. This is great if you're in that situation; especially if your pets drink a lot of water. TOTALLY beats re-filling a bowl a few times every day. The cap on mine was hard to screw on and off, but other than that I have had absolutely no problems. It's held up really well over the past year, but I'd now like to upgrade to a waterer that's easier to clean and looks better aesthetically.
Pros: durable, Spillproof

We've used this for our dogs for the past four months and I'm so frustrated with it I could scream. You can pick it up just fine when it's empty but if there is just a little bit of water left there is no way to pick it up without risking collapse. There is no handle so you can't pick it up one handed and if you pick it up with two hands, one hand has to hold the reservoir because it tips over if there is water in it. After you fill it up its even worse because everything is wet and the reservoir is very top heavy.

I love this little contraption. I got the one that I believe is a little larger than a gallon and was expecting it to last my dog about 3 days (the old bowl only lasted her half a day) and she's had water for the past week. It's the greatest invention ever and I was able to get it for about $10 when it was on sale for $13 and I used a $3 coupon.

I bought this product for my 12 week old yorkie and love it! It's easy to fill and clean. I have had no problems with her knocking it over or it spilling. Overall I would absolutely recommend this product.

It's nothing special but it does what it's supposed to. For being so nice and cheap it's just fine. You can get really exspencive ones that are better but they are exactly that, more exspencive. So for the budget consious pet parent, go for it. I've had it for a few weeks and my chihuahua loves it. And yes, there is a tiny "leak" when you flip it, but that's gravity. I'm happy with it.

The trouble with these kinds of waterers is that they don't fit in the dishwasher, and when you have fungal spores looking for a nice breeding ground, you have a fungal disaster. There is no effective way to clean these. I would fill the container only half full and wash it every time it ran dry but that still wasn't enough. The water reservoir does not fit up and down in the dishwasher, if at all, so the reservoir never gets completely clean, leaving a fungal residue. I realize Arizona has a good amount of fungal spores floating around but this could happen anywhere. Be careful. Don't let your pet drink fungi.

Have had the 1.5 gallon for about six month's or so and use to clean it by hand so put in dishwasher today and it came out half it's size.....I would recommend them for they don't leak if you put the water in and cap on then the bottom take to where you want it and real fast turn over and sit down...does not leak nor had any problem's until today in the dishwasher it ruined it and it say's Dishwasher Safe....NOT TRUE

I bought this despite the reviews. I could always return it if I don't like it nevertheless, this product is great! I know most of the other customers have really bad reviews on this especially with the leaking. I'm sorry to say, but they just don't know how to use this. It DOES leak when you put on the bottle with water for like a quick second but that's it! No more leaking.

I recently bought this product, I bought the .75 gallon for my two pomeranians. This is great. The first time I used it I didn't even fill it all the way up and lasted a week without having to fill it up. My one pom drinks a lot more then most dogs. Since it is so hot right now, i usually put in some crushed ice cubes in the bowl to keep it cool. I love this product, it works great, keeps their water clean and fresh, and I'm not having to clean and dump out water everyday. I have not had any problems with the plastic like one of the reviewers said! I highly recommend this product to any pet owner!

When filling the water tank, it overflowed into the dish and spilled everywhere. I tried to fill the tank again, and it spilled everywhere. The tank did not hold the water at all and just overflowed in the dish. It was a waste of money.

I bought two of these on sale. The first lasted only 3 months before it started leaking. The second one lasted 5-6 months. The water container is such flimsy plastic, that it deformed from the pressure when filled more than 1/2 way. The deformation soon caused a crack and thus rendering it useless. Even though it was a good deal, not a value because now I have to buy another.
Cons: poor quality, leaks
