At first my kitten, Leo, would not play with it because it was a little too big for him. Eventually, he warmed up to it somewhat. The product does work like it says though. It is very sensitive to movement. Leo did enjoy attacking the birdie, although he got his head stuck in it one day. (which was a little funny) But, fortunately he managed to un-stick himself from that situation. Anyways, the toy is ok. From time to time he plays with it, but i can see why other cats may not like it.

Bought this toy yesterday to try and engage my foster cat into some type of play to wear him out before bed. He is terrified of it, and my 3 small dogs are also terrified of it. I rolled it on the floor and all of them couldn't get away from it quick enough.

I got this for my two cats. Neither has ever been the least bit interested in it, and it's too big--when I rolled it across the floor to try to spark their interest, they left the room hurriedly. On the other hand, my Golden Retriever was fascinated by it and carried it around for days! However, now that we've had it for more than 6 months, none of them plays with it and it just gets in the way, so I'm going to trash it. Smaller toys, especially those that bounce away, are much better for my cats. The cons listed don't apply, so here are mine summed up:

Too big for cats--they can't pick it up
Not interesting to cats

I know this is a kitty toy, however, my two puppies LOVE this toy. They are limited to playing with it for about 5-10 minutes at a time simply because they have to be highly monitored because of the fragile build of this toy. It is not a durable toy, meaning not meant for dog roughness, but my dogs get very excited when this toy comes out to play.

I bought this for my cats. It got played with once. Then the spine fell out. Right now, it's nothing but a floor ornament that chirps when I kick it.

I bought this item for my almost 2 year old kitty, and she loves new toys, but this one didn't interest her at.
The product is actually relatively large and doesn't roll very well.
My kitty just walked up to it sniffed it and walked away.

Pros: chirping bird

Cons: too big, doesn't roll well, loud when trying to roll
