I bought this harness for my Border Collie/Australian Shepard mix, who weighs around 55 pounds. While the price tag was a bit daunting, it has been worth every penny.
It is very comfortable for my dog while remaining sturdy enough that I can keep her under control when she sees squirrels. She loves to wear this, and even after six months of use, it is in great shape. Because of the design, I was able to adjust this to account for her smaller head and broad chest/shoulders. In the rare case that I do have to pull on her leash, this harness does not choke or pinch my dog.
I'm planning to get another Kong harness for my Chihuahua mix! This is a great product that I would recommend for any dog breed.
My only wish is that there were cuter patterns and color choices for those of us concerned with that sort of thing. ;)

This harness is the great. My Beagle/Bassette mix's head is smaller than his neck which means he can slip out of his collar easily, so we need something better for our walks. It was easy to fit to him and it has held up really well. We are going to buy a new one, mostly because after 3 years it's looking pretty dirty, but also, then my husband will have a seatbelt strap to keep in his truck.

My Beagle/English Bulldog mix and I frequently make 3+ hour long trips. The first few times were a nightmare with her all over the place and not staying put. I went to Petsmart as I was told they had seat belt harnesses for dogs. This product has been worth the money spent on it. She is now contained to one seat and I even feel comfortable rolling with window down for her a bit. I do not use this daily with her (it's only for road trips), but the few time I have walked her with it I have not noticed her pulling any less, and in fact she pulls more than with her normal collar. Thank you Kong for this wonderful harness that keeps me and my pet both safe!

This product is somewhat expensive, but worth it to me. Good quality, easy on and no tension on dog's neck. I think my dog knows that I have more control. I use it with retractable leash.

I have a pitbull/dalmation and I finally broke down and bought the halter/seatbelt for my dog. She is always all over the car and trying to get my other dog to play with her and it's becoming a very dangerous situation. Well not anymore. I absolutely love love love this product and it's even more awesome because it is from "KONG"...she stays in the back seat now (notice I didn't say she likes it) however, I can now drive and know she's safe...

This harness holds our little pom securely. It was purchased to replace a thinner strap one that he had slipped out of. Only complaint is that the piece underneath slips up under his chin when he lays down and we have to push it farther back. Other than that, works great!

I actually bought the small one for my cat (He's a tom boy) for moving cross country. He LOVED IT! Hated when I take it off and sits nicely when I put it on. It has a small handle you can use to pick up the pet with it if you need to in a hurry, It doesn't cut into their skin or causes them to try and chew at it.

I got this harness (as well as the matching leash and collar) a few days ago and I am already blown away by it. I have a Lab puppy and she is already quite strong and sometimes pulls a lot when we go for walks. She walks very well with the harness though and stopped pulling entirely. The harness adjusts very well around her body, has a little cushion in the front and also comes with a seat belt attachment. Great!

Since my dog was a puppy, she's had the Kong ball. I figured I would go and buy the harness, and I was not disappointed. It is durable, and easy to put on. She did chew through the first couple I had, but that's because she stayed in it for a while, but her newer ones, she's had them for almost 6 months and it's in great shape. She has chewed the netting off of the chest plate, but it is a great harness and I love it. It does what it is supposed to do, easy to put on and very durable.

I think this is an overall fine product, but I have a dog with a very skinny chest and neck, and I found it nearly impossible to fit the chest plate properly. It was too wide for her chest and there always seemed to be large gaps between her body and the harness. I think this is just because of the way my dog is built, but if you have a skinnier dog, beware. I think this is better for bigger dogs. Having said that, it is durable, comes in nice colors, and looks nice.

We have a Westie and a Schnauzer in the household. One of the dogs would somehow get a hold the other "type" of harness (plastic adujustible buckle) and would chew on the plastic until it was no longer serviceable. The harness on this particular harness has metal adjusting buckles and no more problems. The reflective stitching is awesome and the harness still looks great. I like the chest plate on the westie. Fits great. The chest plate on the mini schnauzer comes up a little higher on the throat than I would like though.

My dog was the escape artist. I had tried a few different harnesses and she always managed to get out of them and run off. A PetSmart associate recommended this Kong Harness after I explained my situation so I bought it and I love it. She has never been able to wiggle or chew her way out of it.

This harness is amazing. It helps them with their posture and keeps them from pulling. For large dogs this is the best option. I have a doberman and she always tugged and was crazy. This keeps her from her tugging and has helped her posture.

I loved everything about this harness, we own a pitbull, she is very strong at 13m and a collar was just choking her to much. We have total control with this harness.
CONS:
My poor girl's chest is bald from the plate rubbing her chest, she doesn't seem to notice but its always red and irritated.
The harness never stays straight, it always falls to the side. We have made it tighter and loosened it but nothing keeps it straight.

I really love this, we even bought the matching leash, but sadly I am going to have to return it and get a harness with a nicer material on the chest. I love the chest plate idea though.

I've had this harness a total of 5 days now. I LOVED this harness since day 1 but now I have a special love for it. I was walking my dog last and she was attacked by a pitbull, this harness is is what saved her life. The pitbull had her pinned on her back, and the chestplate was up where her neck was and that's what the pitbull latched onto instead of her neck. My dog managed to wiggle out of the harness thank god and the pitbull would not let go of that harness. Saved my dogs life. BUY ONE!

I bought this harness along with a matching Kong collar for my sweet Belle, a Pitbull mix. Some say their dog never pulled again after usage of this harness, but I wanted my dog to pull; she enjoys pulling me a mile to the park and back every day on a scooter. I wanted a harness that wasn't specifically no-pull, and one that was comfortable, affordable, and off great quality. I have been on several trips with this harness, and Belle and I both love it. Best harness I've ever had.

This is the only collar that I use with my 70 pound Labrador. It helps me control him better, easy on and off, and comfortable for him. We just got a new dog and I am getting her one too! Would highly recommend even if you think it's a bit pricey, well worth it.

This can not possibly be a true KONG made product. They don't even list it on their official website and unlike their other products, this is a piece of junk and not a typical tough / nearly indestructible KONG product.
I was in need of a harness for my Husky and came across two KONG brand harnesses at Petsmart... a cheaper KONG version (about half the cost of this one) and this one with metal latches and buckles instead of plastic. I bought the cheaper one, and it was destroyed (chewed through) within 3-4 days... frustrated, I bought the $35 version and coated it with some NoChew spray just in case and and it lasted about 10 days... and is now in ruins.
I've lost all faith in the KONG brand name of a quality product after losing throwing over $60 dollars in the garbage on these horrible products and as the two top harnesses sold in the store by Petsmart, I'm at a loss of what I can buy.

I have a Roc/Shepard mix who is getting up in years and needs assistance, this is perfect, it takes all the stress and strain from his neck and puts it on his chest. I recommend this product to anyone who has any size dog.
