I had never purchased IAMS before, until I adopted my kitten and she loves the food! I purchased this product based on the great reviews and I will say, I am pleased.

I try many different kind of dry/wet foods but she eats this one the best more than others. Some products I love more than this product because of their ingredients and sometimes she only eats this one rather than some "GOOD" company's cat food. Now I hate to try something new even though some other company's products are better then this one. I wish my cat tells me why... Anyways, because my cat loves this one, I learn that I should stick with this one :)

I regret buying Iams Kitten food for my cat. I wish I had known better at the time. Although I like that the first ingredient is a meat (Chicken), I do not like that Corn is the second ingredient. I understand that kibble needs to have a certain amount of carbs to *be* kibble, but for it to be the second ingredient is purely a cost-cutting measure. I wish I had done my homework because now I am stuck with 7 pounds of this stuff, which I am rationing off like candy to a toddler. My kitten loves it; don't get me wrong. But there are better quality foods out there!

We had been using PurinaOne kitten formula and indoor advantage for our 2 cats. Someone suggested IAMS so we got the trial size and I have been using it for a few days for my new kitten. She had no problem at all trying the new food, and she seemed to like it; my only problem is after about every bite she would drop it out of her mouth and keep trying to eat it. The pieces are much bigger than I expected. She is used to small pieces; these are thick and big. But besides that, it's pretty good. Don't know yet if I will stay with IAMS or not. :)

I would recommend Iams to anyone who has a kitten or grown cat! My two persian kittens were on purina kitten chow when I got them I put them on iams they are growing like weeds there hair to so soft they don't shed much at all they are a good wieght vet says there very heathy I very happy with Iams.

I am an ingredient reader and very particular on what I feed my cats and dogs. Iams is an excellent product and it shows in their behavior and beautiful appearances. And my cats & dog all love it. My cats love to eat the dog food and they will all eat together with my dog (a Rottie) out of her dish. She loves her kitties and doesn't mind sharing. (I do keep dog out of cat food as I do know cat food is too rich for dogs but vice versa is ok) They all are raised on Iams from kittens and puppies to adults, it is the only commercial food I would feed them.

Pros: best food

Cons: there are no cons to feeding iams.
