After trying multiple dust products and reading reviews to see if i could locate anything better, I have to say this is the easiest to locate and lowest dust product so far. I have severe allergies and every time my little cuddles took a bath with other brands i was completely stuffed up. I had resorted to my oldest son having to give the dust bath in a bathroom when i was not home since even the amount of dust left on his fur after several hours was enough to cause problems.

This sand works okay, but it does leave my chinchilla's fur a little, how do I put this, dry? Her fur does not come out smooth or silky. A little overpriced for the amount you get, but maybe that's just my opinion. Overall though, it works, but I would recommend dust over sand.

Pros: easy to install

Cons: price, size

Great for gerbils!

This is not only great for chinchillas, but also great for gerbils and other small animals! My gerbils will dig and roll in this stuff! Not only that, but it is also dust free! Dust/Powder baths can cause blindness and respiratory problems. Also they do actually get clean and soft (you can tell the difference because when I bought them their coats were oily and this did the trick) It doesn't take much so you can use each packet around 2-4 times, which is a great buy!

Pros: size, price, easy to install

It worked. I mean, my chinchillas will bath in any type of dust really.. they aren't picky. However, this was expensive for only 5
"pre-measured" packets. I switched to Blue Cloud Dust, and oh my god. My chinchilla's coats are unbelievable soft and healthy. It looks like I take them out to be groomed or something. I would definitely recommend to you Blue Cloud Dust. I got it at my local Petsmart.
