My 19.50 (now 18.50) overweight Maine Coon cat has lost a pound in only a month. Her vet wants her to lose 4 lbs. in a year. She is on her way and I think she is going to make it.

My cat needed to lose about 2 pounds. After more than a year on prescription diet dry food and regular diet canned food, nothing happened. Then, as cats will do, he decided he no longer liked either product. I switched to a regular diet dry food available in any store and Royal Canin Ultra Light. He absolutely loves the Royal Canin and after a year has almost reached his target weight. And his coat is beautifully shiney. I just wish people making a diet type of canned food would offer more variety!
