I purchased this stand after seeing it online. Assembly was difficult due to the fact that the holes for the cam locks were not large enough. My boyfriend had to cut away extra material for each one. Made for longer assembly time. The top piece looks nice and appears sturdy, the rest of it does not. It is also extremely wobbly. I worry about actually putting the tank on it. I would not recommmend this stand to anyone. Very disappointed.

I put this stand together twice. The cam-locs bent, wouldn't lock into place. It wobbled a lot. Would not have been safe to put a tank on it. I returned it to the store.

Love this stand! Delivery was Very fast. Don't know what other people are complaning about......It was easy to put together and is sturdy and LOOKS Great!

I was initially disappointed in this stand. I had a difficult time putting it together, but looking back on it, that's because I'm not meant to assemble things, not because the instructions were difficult. When I first put it together it was seriously wobbly and I was pretty upset. When I finally got the back on, it added a lot of stability (much more than i anticipated). I also discovered that part of the wobble came from my floors, which are apparently uneven. Overall, for the money, I think this was definitely a good buy. I'm probably still going to attach it to the wall or buy something to reinforce it before I get my tank on it, and I still haven't been able to get the doors on the front, but this stand is much better than I initially thought it would be when I started assembly.

It took me about 45 minutes to get it together by myself. The only problem I had during assembly was putting the hinges on the doors because I really needed a second person to hold the doors while I attached them to the cabinet. This stand is in no way flimsy. It is solid and heavy. I got it on sale but wouldn't think twice about paying full price for the same brand when we add another aquarium to our home.

this stand works well for its purpose... some of the holes were not bored all the way, so I had to "finish" the holes myself by stabbing with a screwdriver... not a big deal, but it was annoying because it seemed to be an unnecessary step... the instructions were poorly written, but it didn't take much effort to figure it out on my own... the finish isn't the greatest quality... i accidentally made a small scratch taking it out of the box... i got it when it was on sale for $150... all in all, i am happy... and it's what i would expect for $150...

After reading some of these reviews, I was very nervous about proceeding with this purchase. I went in to my local Petsmart, and they honored the online price. I then had my boyfriend lug the stand out to the car and in to the house - upstairs I might add! The stand is very heavy, but that was to be expected since it will hold a 40 gallon aquarium.
We spent a total of about an hour assembling the stand, but it might not take you that long. The whole while we were discussing the quality of the stand, and came to the conclusion that for the price it is a pretty good quality. Most of the stand is particle board, but when it's all assembled, it's very sturdy. The top and the legs are more sturdy than the shelving. Overall, the assembly was SUPER easy.
Being black, the stand does hang on to your finger prints, but they come off pretty easily with a damp cloth. Also, the frequent mention of the material bubbling up wasn't so for my stand. Every part of the finish looks as it should - sleek!
I do not yet have the aquarium, as I'm purchasing things one at a time with my budget. I plan to update this review or post a second review once I have the tank up and running! So far, there are no worries about this stand at all!! Also, the cabinets are VERY SPACIOUS! They even hold the bucket I use for water changes!

This stand is awful!!!! I would give it no stars if it were an option. Everything is made out of particle board except the top which looks to be real wood. Also, the backing for the cabinet section is a black piece of cardboard... When i opened the box, I noticed that one of the legs was damaged. It looked like the lamenent that was used to cover the "wood" had bubbled up on 2 sides. I ignored it because that side would not be seen and continued with the assembly. The assembly was time consuming and difficult (especially if you are not the best at putting things together). I put the entire thing together and it wobbled. I double and triple checked all of the screws to make sure they were secure, but it still wobbled. I would keep the stand to avoid taking it apart and repacking it, but this stand is going back. For about $170.00, along with the assembly and aggravation, this product was not worth it. buyer beware!!!

I purchased this aquarium stand from my local Petsmart to hold my 36"x18"x18" reptile cage for a Ball Python. Very strong stand when assembled and an excellent weight rating. It had a couple wrinkles in the finish on the legs but other than that it looks great and fits my reptile cage perfect. The picture is from when I first assembled it and placed the cage on top, which is why wiring is still showing but it has holes in the back of the storage area to hide them.
Pros: easy to install, sturdy, easy to clean
