I had my dog on another brand for years and she always had skin issues. She was also born with mange so it would pop up a lot until she was around 4y. (She's 6 now)

I switched her over to Blue Buffalo 2 months ago and the difference was amazing! Her coat was smooth, rarely itched (what dog or person doesn't have a itch now and then?) and just seemed happier (her nose is actually moist now!)

The improvement was so crazy though, I thought I'd put her back on the "grocery dog food" just to see what happens and within a few days her coat started to dry out and get coarse again so she started itching a lot..

Now she's back on Blue and perfect, even put on 5 pounds of muscle since her last vet visit a few months back. As long as they keep making such a great product I will always keep recommending it.

I always go with Blue Buffalo products because I like that there are natural ingredients and I want to make sure my dog is well fed. He loves this chicken flavor and I buy nothing else

Blue Buffalo did wonders for my dog!

When Lucky turned a year old I switched him from puppy food to an adult dog food (which is what I was feeding my other older dog).
Lucky seems to have a very high metabolism and is a VERY active guy. After a few weeks on the adult food I had switched him to, his ribs started to show and he seemed to be not as active.
Someone recommended Blue Buffalo, emphasizing the importance of a grain free dog food.
I bought a bag and switched both of my dogs from the food I was feeding to Blue Buffalo over the course of 2 weeks.
After a few months, major improvement!! Lucky is lean but looks fantastic. His energy level is great, his fur feels softer, and both of my dogs are shedding less. Also they love to eat it!!
They have less stool. I also feed them less of the Blue Buffalo than the other food. At first the cost of the Blue Buffalo seemed unreasonable to me, but considering the less quantity my dogs eat and the benefits they get, it is TOTALLY worth it!!
I will never feed my dogs anything else.
Definitely a 5+ rating on this product

My boyfriend is highly against paying more for dog food, but I bought it against his will, and now he's made the switch to Blue. We were actually in the process of switching our other dogs over to Blue, and go figure, the good dog in the house that never does anything wrong, broke into the cabinet and starting eating all of their food, so that's when we started him on Blue and I've never seen him eat so much! My favorite part of Blue is the portion sizes. They eat less, and go to the bathroom less, and they're actually full by the time they finish.

Our poor little mastiff/chow mix has such bad food allergies that we were beside ourselves. The smallest amount of corn or wheat would set him itching for weeks. We finally found this food and he loves it and it has stopped his itching for the last 4 years!!! Love it! Great food!

Food is great! No corn, by-products, nor mysterious&questionable ingredients. The wilderness line is usually highly recommended by most dog food rating websites and forums. Its also high in meat content unlike many other brands that try to push their low quality food as "the best" or "prescription." The only downside is the price, but I'm willing to spend the extra dough on good nutrition. Read the ingredients and compare to others to see for yourself!

I decided to try a grain-free food after both my dogs began having stomach and skin problems despite being on a sensitive stomach type of food. The smaller dog especially had soft stools with mucous and some bleeding and her skin was so itchy and red. Nothing was helping, vet said no parasites or infection and after some research I figured it could be a sensitivity to the grain in the food I was feeding them. I tried Blue Buffalo grain-free and within 4 days both dogs had firm small stools and much less gas. It's been a couple of weeks now and they seem to be itching less too. I can tell the smaller dog feels better too because she is more affectionate and energetic. This food is expensive, however I am feeding them half the amount of the previous food with grain in it so it ends up being cost-effective. The high protein content allows for less volume of food and the dogs just love it. The smaller one barks and the bigger one does a leaping dance at feeding time. They eat it up in about 10 seconds! Overall I am very happy with Blue Buffalo Wilderness grain-free and am telling all my dog owner friends about it. Try it!

I have a Dane, and 2 other dogs. I need to feed the dane certain fat and protein % for their growth. This food is amazing - she loved it along with my other dog. Heathlier coat within 2 weeks. Her stool became more firm, and MUCH LESS! This food is HIGH GRADE - in my top 3 list of petsmart brands. You will feed the dog less with this food compared to lower grade. Highly recommend for the ingredients, all well known and no fillers!!!!

My three month old mini shar-pei Daisy loves this food!!! All of the different flavors are great and she loves them all!!! We purchased this food because it is grain free and keeps her healthy and allergy free!! Yes it is more expensive but well worth it to keep her healthy and happy!!! My mothers dog has been having skin problems and i told her to switch to this product as most dogs allergies come from grain's and Daisy's coat is absolutely gorgeous with this food!!! ;O)

I have an aussie and he absoulutely love wilderness. He's been on it almost a year, before he had all sorts of health problems, he hasn't had a problem since he's been on it which in the end saved me money with no vet bill. PLUS his fur is absolutely gorgeous. I loved it so much i even switched my cat over to the cat version of wilderness

I've had my pit-mix on this food for a little over two weeks now. He suffered from itchy, patchy skin all over his body, mostly on his sides and back end/tail and legs. After just two weeks his patchy skin is already disappearing. He's itching and chewing on his skin less and he has beautiful new white hairs growing in! I'm thinking about switching my other dog to this food after seeing how great it is, even though she does fine on her old food. It obviously makes a difference.

My gsd just finished his 2nd bag of this and he loves it, hasn't left 1 morsel in bowl. His stools have been small and solid and no stomach upset when we switched to it. We are now rotating with the duck variety. He has always had a soft coat when on Blue Buffalo products (use to use the chicken and brown rice).

I have a boxer who I could never get to eat. I spent a ton of money trying all the high dollar brands. I had a friend tell me about Blue Buffalo Wilderness and how great it was. I was not crazy about the price, but I finally broke down and bought it. I am glad I did. My picky boxer finally begs me to eat! He devours the Duck and the Chicken I rotate him since he is such a food Diva! His coat is soft and beautiful! He no longer get the runs and has not had a single stomach issue since! I get compliments on his coat and how soft he is from everyone! Thank you Blue Buffalo!!

I am very happy with this dog food. My shepherd/malamute mix is very picky about his food and this is the only one he likes. The food actually smells natural and makes me want to eat his food lol. (but on a series note, it does smell natural) When I used other types of food, my dog was very lazy, he did not want to play and constantly had digestive problems and farted. He no longer has any digestive problems and is very active now that I buy him Blue Wilderness. This company also makes treats for dogs and Iv got nothing but good things to say about them as well.

this product was recommended to me after i complained of all the gas my dog was suddenly having. my friend explained that dogs aren't really meant to have grains and can develop allergies and sensitivities to them over time. i switched to blue wilderness and he stopped passing gas, and his coat is tons shinier, and he has way more energy than before. he was a puppy the last time he's had this much energy! i never thought dog foods were different, i am pleasantly surprised to find out they are indeed different.

My Boston Terrier that we adopted from the pound has very bad stomach issues. The Nutro max that we feed our other dogs gave him gas very bad. Could run you out of the room. I found out that he needed a diet based on HIGH protein for his breed. I started him on the Wilderness formula of Blue Buffalo and the gas stopped. He is a healthy and happy little buddy now. Love this stuff. I'm now looking into putting my elderly pets on Blue Buffalo.

Pros: highest source of protein in dry food

Cons: a bit high in cost but worth it.

I am in the process of switching my large breed ''teenaged" dog from Wellness SM5 Large Breed puppy food to an adult dog food. He's had issues with allergies, sensitive tummy, itchy paws, itchy eyes and ear infections.

He's now been on Blue Buffalo Wilderness Chicken for five days. He's already itching less! I don't know if it is the grains he was allergic to or not, but it sure seems that this food suits him better. BC I'm still splitting the food into ratios while introducing the new food, he eats the Blue food first and leaves the SM5 large breed puppy to eat last when the Blue is all gone. Go figure! Not that the SM5 or Wellness brand is bad at all, but for my dog this food seems to be a GREAT choice. So far, very I'm impressed.

Pros: great high quality high protein adult dog food, no grains, available at petsmarts all over the u.s., my finicky allergy-prone dog loves it

After my Aussie was diagnosed with a cancerous mast cell tumor last fall I started doing heavy duty research. The tumor was successfully removed and rather then chemo/radiation my decision was to 'heal with food'. I began to follow 'The K9 Cancer Diet'... Low Carb/high protein/moderate fat... Blue Buffalo's Wilderness is it! I feed about half of the recommended amount with the other half being home-cooked meats and broth (and supplements). Almost 6 months later and my dog is doing great. I will never feed anything else!

Pros: no grain, no artificial 'stuff', my dog willingly eats it

Cons: is a bit pricey

I have 2 working GSDs and they both love Blue Wilderness. They are extremely active, training and competing in herding. Their coats have improved immensely, both are very shiny and soft, their bodies are lean and sculpted, and more importantly their overall health and vitality has seemed to improve. They are both excited for breakfast and dinner and gobble up the Wilderness. I feed a mix of Wilderness and Blue Large Breed to keep their energy levels high.
