Rubber band does not stay on!

I have 4 of the small bowls for my Chihuahus, I love the designs. The problem we have is that the rubber band DOES NOT stay on and the stainless steel bowl will come out. Is there a problem or a recall on these. I have seen a few reviews regarding the bands. I use these bowls evey day and the band comes off evey time. We have hand wash and air dry. I am always putting the rubber bands back on. Might want to rethink the design with the rubber band. Not sure what to do.

I like these dog bowls because they are great for traveling. It has a lid so I can take my pet food and put the lid on. Also it is really two bowls in one because there is a metal bowl inside the plastic bowl and it can be taken apart so that you can use one for food and one for water. Great for traveling with your pet. Nice colors to choose from also. The small size is really small, good for cats or very small dogs. I recommend getting the medium size for most dogs.

I have two dogs, so I got one blue and one ivory. I liked that they had the rubber strip around the stainless bowl to keep it from spinning, which was a problem with my last bowl set. I was also counting on the different colored bands to be able to tell which bowl for was for which dog as they get different supplements. After putting them in the dishwasher one time, the bands came off and snapped. I exchanged them for new ones, deciding to just hand wash. Unfortunately, even with hand washing, the bands slide right off and are a pain the rump to get back on. Going to try to superglue them in place, but would not buy again.

I love these bowls. When I bought them for my puppy I wasn't sure I saw the need for the lids, and it turns out that I use them every day. I have one request - please - make extra aluminum bowls available for purchase. I would buy 6-8 extra bowls, but I don't want to buy the whole "kit" because I don't need the base bowls, and don't want to spend the money for them, and more importantly, don't want the extra base bowls in land fills. But I would dearly love to be able to buy more aluminum bowls that fit inside these Martha Stewart "bases" so I could have lots of extra clean bowls available.

While looking for the dog we wanted I had got the old type on clearance for real cheap. Love it. Wish I had gotten two. We only got one. Silly us. I love how they stack and the lid is easy to put one and take off. they are nice looking and fit the size of dog and kicten space we have. Very easy to clean and to pick up off the floor due to the tiny hole around the base to allow for pick up.

Bought two of the large size bowls so my three small dogs can share one for water and one for food. The bowls look great and are very good quality. The band around the stainless bowl holds it secure and the opening at the base of the set makes it easy to pick up, also the lid is rubbery, flexible and fairly thick. The design of these bowls are just right, not to deep and narrow or shallow and wide like some of the cheaper bowls. I think these bowls will last a very long time. I'm now looking for the matching place mat.

This 3 piece bowl set is wonderful. My dog is very small and doesn't eat alot. The bowl set goes into the frig. with it's own top, and it is dishwasher safe. I highly recommend this product.

I have two chipoos so I got the smallest size and they are perfect!!! I put their food in the stainless steal bowl and then their water goes in the big bowl. They get soft food mixed in with their dry food so the soft food needs to stay refrigerated. I can easily put the lid on and know that it is staying fresh for the day. Another great thing is when I go camping. I can put the lid on their food and know that it won't spill. Thanks Martha!!!!!

I bought the small bowl in red for my chiweenie. Very nice bowl, easy to clean and doesn't slide around on the floor. I love the lid--makes it easy to pack her food if we're going somewhere.
There's a thin rubber ring that's supposed to wrap around the outside of the metal bowl (to prevent it from clanging against the sides of the plastic outer bowl). I found it pretty useless and ended up throwing it away. If your dog is afraid of the very slight clinking caused by the bowl, it might be worth using though. Aside from that, this is a very sleek, sturdy set.

These bowls are so great. Super easy to clean, great sizes. The rubber at the bottom ensures they don't skid on the floor. I always recommend, and have been recommended, to use stainless steel bowls so that there is no bacteria build up etc. Very, very good product.

Bought it in the red, very pretty. Nice for portion control, and keeping the right cat eating her own food. Seems very nicely made, doesn't skid on floor either.

I absolutely love this bowl for my French Bulldog. It is ideal for travel and very high quality. My only issue with it is that I put the bowls in the dishwasher last night and a rubberband came detached - and I'm not sure where to put it back on! Oops. More my fault than Martha's and I would highly recommend this bowl nonetheless!

I got two of these for my puppy as part of his birthday present (his birthday is in two months).
It looks better than his current bowl, and I love how there's a lid, so if your dog doesn't finish their wet food you just snap on the lid and it keeps fresh. The colors are gorgeous as well. :)

I just bought my puppy Mia two bowls in the Ivory color. I must say it's the best purchase i ever done. It might be expensive for a dog bowl, but it's worth it because it's elegant, and useful. The lids are great because if your dog doesn't eat all the food, you could put the lid on, and store it in the fridge for later. I love how my puppy doesn't have to bend all the way down to drink or eat. Definitely purchase this dog bowl!
Pros: 3-pieces, elegant, nice height
Cons: can't find one.

Just purchased mine last night for my baby; I like the quality and the color is beautiful, I took the LAST baby blue. I really like that this bowl has a good secure lid cover, good to prevent spills and protect food; the price is reasonable as well. This dog bowl looks great and is one option for feeding and watering your dog. It was a little overpriced but it appealed to us, so we purchased it. For two weeks it served us well. Then the lid fell apart... So much for putting the lid on and saving the uneaten portion! Our money would have been better spent on something more durable and perhaps a little less visually appealing to us, after all our Boston doesn't mind what her dog bowl looks like. A quality product does not need to be replaced after two weeks of gentle use.

I bought this bowl in blue for my little dog Jack. The weight of the bowl keeps it from moving around while he's eating, which was problem with the last dish. I love the disassembly of the bowl and cover, you can take the stainless bowl to the food to fill. I have yet to travel with it, but I can see how the lid would be very useful for such a trip. Did I mention it looks great.
Pros: heavy does not move around while my dog eats, great colours, comes in three pieces, great for travel, looks fantastic on the mat
