We recently adopted a Great Pyrenees named Pearl -- 110# of love! But getting her in and our of our SUV's was quite the production, until we got this ramp. Once she overcame her fears (left it lying around the house, then used it on small step from kitchen to family room, then the front door, etc.) it has been indispensable in enabling us to travel with her. Drove her to Florida and back to visit with family (human aunt and uncle and "furry" cousins!) and literally could not have made the trip without it. A real life saver for both bigger and older dogs!

Bought this after my German Shep had back surgery to use for the bed and the car... works for both. Worth the money, use the training tips at come with it and your pet will quickly get the hang of it. 4stars instead of 5 because the sand paper for grip is still a little slippery and rough for my dog. Ended up putting the sticky stuff used to keep rugs from sliding on it, much easier for my indoor dog's paws!

I just bought this ramp today 2-16-13 for my Great Pyrenees. I drive an Xterra and my 135 baby won't jump into the back of the SUV becasue he is scared and lifting him has become a issue now that he has passes the 100 pound mark. The ramp is great, sturdy and easy to use. I think anyone with a large breed dog needs this ramp.

We needed something for our two dogs after we bought a new SUV for them to be able to get into it. Our previous car was lower to the ground and they didn't have a problem getting in or out. This was just what the doctor ordered, so as to say, as they have no problem going up or down this ramp, as they were able to achieve it on the first day. We just put it on the floor for them to get use to it and then out we went and they went right up the very first try. We highly recommend this product.

When my Baby (German Shepard ) hurt her knee she could no longer go with me everywhere...my vet recomended a ramp and this one was perfect for her.
Wide and long she's comfortable and she walks right up. I have a 4x4 pickup truck with the right seat removed for her so I just open the door and put the ramp in place and

Wow, is all I can say. I wish I had bought this ramp along time ago. I have a 12 yr old mixed breed about 50lbs with bad joints. With a little practice using the lease and harness she adapted very quickly. She was a little sacred at first but I was so proud of the way she adapted. Well worth the investment easy to use and fairly light. Just work with them and show encourgement, plus a little treat and bragging never hurts.

My sheltie has fallen trying to jump into my SUV. She is a smaller dog and slides off the back bumper. She wiggles when I try to help her up. As such, her back and mine have been hurt trying to get her into the truck. This ramp was easy to put up, is solidly built, and has enough traction for her to climb when there isn't sufficient space to extend the ramp to a lower angle. The snap that prevents the ramp from telescoping while you carry it is a plus. I think it gets a paw up from the two of us.

I have a 12 yr old Newfoundland/Golden mix and it got to where I couldn't take him anywhere unless my husband was there to lift him up and down out of my SUV. At 140 lbs I couldn't find anything I trusted to hold him until I found this. It has made my life and my dog's unbelievably easy. I can slide it easily and it works on side doors, the back gate and even on our lifted pick up truck. It is great! When its folded it fits easily along the back gate of my SUV and is very lightweight. My only complaint would be the grip pad. For one it's not thick enough. Its more like a paper sheet of sandpaper instead of rubber tread (which is what it really needs). The other problem is that the grip is peeling from the edges. I still stand as a spotter and guide my dog up the ramp but boy has it made my life simpler!

This ramp is marginally well made and is narrow. It doesn't feel that secure to me and my 85 pound shepherd refuses to use it. When collapsed, it's not small and won't stay on it's side which takes up more space than I have to spare in the back of my vehicle. It's going back to PetSmart

Our Rotti is 5 and needed to start preventative maintenance in his lifestyle. Our pickup is quite high and he'd refuse to get out unless at a curb, he'd jar his shoulder on occasion even so. I always needed to assist him getting in, at 125 lbs. I needed a better way.
Bought the ramp yesterday, he wanted to jump around it to get out of the truck, but with a little chicken and a neighbor's help to prevent a sideway leap, wha la. The next truck ride only required some patience and out he came like a champ. I credit the ramp's stability and it's not slipping around when he walked on it for his confidence to come so quickly as he's really stubborn and squeamish about new things.

I just bought this ramp and used it over the weekend for several outtings with the doggies. I was desperate for a solution after one of my doggies got her leg caught in a running board on my truck. My other dog is too old now to jump in...I didn't want either of them to ever get hurt so I bought this ramp. They're still getting used to it. I have a Toyota Tundra and the ramp works ok with it. My only major complaint about the ramp is that it pinches your fingers when you try and slide it back up...it gives you a good pinch...maybe I'm not rolling up right...other than that it works fine.

My dog just had CCL repair surgery and I had to lift him in and out of the car twice a day, twice a week to go to REHAB for his leg. We still have 8 weeks to go and I hurt my back lifting him. Now we BOTH have to go to REHAB!
I went into the local PetSmart and got this ramp. They honored the sale price shown on line and I used it a few hours later. A little guidance and my dog is using it like a PRO. No more back strain for me and it has a handy handle to lift it in and out of the car. Love this product: it works just like it says it does.

Used this ramp for an older dog to allow him to go up and down stairs, as he started having troubles with his legs.
Not once did it fail us - did exactly as it was supposed to.
Took some time to train dog to used to it, as is the case with ramps and dogs. About a week or two and he was fine.

Much better than our dog falling down the stairs or us carrying him up them and risking hurting ourselves.
A bit too pricey, but not a disappointment.

Aside from the end caps disappearing shortly after purchase this ramp has been a godsend to our eleven year old Husky/Border Collie. We use it for the van and at the vets for her examinations on the table. It handles her hundred pounds easily, I've even used it to roll stumps up into the van
