This fish is amazing the only thing i'd have to say is that they do get pregnate and do eat a lot. one thing about the fish that I was exited about was that it had babies the same day we got it so then i had to get another tank for the Molly. if you want your molly to be happy then put some sea salt in to keep them shiny and healthy also this also keeps your tank clean!i HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FISH!!!!!oh ya and if you get more than one MOLLY you should also get some decorations for the tank. :) :) :) :)

This fish is amazing. Looks beautiful in any tank due to it's color and size. My Dalmatians are already bigger than 3 inches (and fat). They are friendly (only play-fighting with each other) and go well with various other molly and platy types. The fry are adorable as well (and grow quickly). I highly recommend this fish.

i have 2 dalmation mollies in a tank with 2 lamp eye tetras, 1 dwarf gourami, 1 black skirt tetra, and a flame tetra. people say they get sick easy FALSE, i have had my 2 for 3 years and they are perfectly happy and healthy

i had 2 of them for a few months and they were awesome. One got sick and died and the other just died of old age i guess. If i ever get more fish im lookin here :)

Cons:They are aggressive towards other fish,get sick easily leads to death (most of the time), and barely eats food.

i got a male one of these guys- one with a fancy tail and i had hoped he would breed with my females. instead of doing so, he harrassed them CONSTANTLY and they always had their fins tight against their body and were always hiding. so i took him back. then all my females were happy.

Great fish to have when i bought my first it was pregnant and had about 13 fry would definately recommend this kind of fish to everyone

We just got a 26 bow tank and decided to use mollies as our starter fish. We were nervous at first because we assumed that these fish would not last long since they were are starter fish but to our surprise, they are alive and well. They are great at adapting to any pH level ( we have trouble with how high it is) and they are not really aggressive. The only time we see some agression is during there feeding time. One thing is that once we got our Dalmatian molly home, he seemed to have grown twice his size. He is a very handsome fish. I would recommend this fish to anyone looking to start a tropical community.

This molly is the best! I got two, a male and female. Also a red platy. This kind of fish will breed a lot. My male's name was Shadow. The female's name is Cookie. Sadly Shadow died shortly after i got him. But Cookie was already pregnant. She had about five babies, but only one survived. Then some how she had about ten babies. Then she had 4 more that are still tiny. but the rest are big and beg for food 24/7. They are big beggars though. And take mostly all the food from other fish. But over all the best fish to have. I say this fish is great for every one.

I bought 3 of these for my 10 gallon, and the next day one of the pregnant females gave birth to 30 fry. I absolutely love these fish. They have a great personality and are extremely social. I would recommend this to anyone who wants easy to take of fish with great personality.

These fish are just lovely! Their spots all come in different patterns, and I have nicknames for them to tell them apart. If kept in groups - I have one male and two females, myself - they are very active and explore their tank. They're also very social; mine can eat from my hand and even nibble my fingers. They follow my finger when I put it against the glass of my tank.
Be warned, though- buying a female Molly almost guarantees that she is pregnant. Buy a tank bigger than the amount of fish you plan to get.
You can keep the adults in a 10gallon, but only if you have a maximum of 4/5.
I have a 29 gallon for the 3 adults, and two smaller tanks [1gal then 10gal] to house to my growing fry until they're large enough to not be considered food.

You /will/ have babies. If you learn to raise them right, these fish will be self-sustaining friends for as long as you want them!

I liked this fish from the store but so far he has been swimming at the top of the tank and occasionally I see him on the bottom, he is sometimes active and do eats good, he also get along with my other platties and my snail, I totally recommend this fishy. :)

I really do love mollies and this is the first time I've owned Dalmatian Mollies. I got 2, a male and female, and they've gotten along great! They've also done fine with my guppies, tetras and glofish. I bought these on a Friday night and by Monday morning the female was already pregnant! Glad I like these fish, because I'm having much more on the way!!

In my tank I have 6 fish in all (so far I'm on day 3 of cycling my tank), 1 Dalmation Molly, 1 Red Tailed Shark, 1 Dwarf Gourami, and 3 Tiger Barbs. The Barbs can never rest because the Molly is chasing them at all times, and the Shark is very territorial and will chase them out of his "Home". Also these fish get to as much food as they can (and I do not think my Shark has eaten yet). If you are going to get a Dalmation Molly because you love the patterns, colors, size, and compatibility. I would recomend brakish water lots of fungus treatments, and make sure that it is smaller than most of the fish in your tank (because now it is starting to chase around the Shark).

When i got this dalmation molly, I got him will a black molly too! Well the dalmation molly was a male and the black molly is female! As most know male mollies and male mollies will not get along neither do 1 male and 1 feamle, you should have 2 females to every one male when keeping a group of mollies, or just keep females... anyway the male kept chasing the female so i moved him to a differnet tank and everyone is happy! THe female is not hiding to get away from the male anymore! These are wonderful fish
