Sometimes called "Brazilian Waterweed," Anacharis Plant can be identified by its eye-catching, light green leaves. In addition to being exceedingly easy to care for, Anacharis is a very helpful pond plant in that it helps to reduce algae, clarify water and provide shade for fish. The plant can grow when floating freely or rooted in substrate.

Don't get me wrong, I do really love this plant. However, while I was in-store they all looked drastically horrible. More than half the sprouts (in any one bundle) were brown and decaying. I bought one out of spite because the healthy parts looked absolutely gorgeous and my molly fry really needed plants with smaller, more safe hiding places.

I was, however, very stunned that the plant survived. Within a few days it had sprouted new growth, and I was rest-assured that I could cut off the brown/decaying parts (do this before you add it to the aquarium or else it'll dirty the water a lot). It looks beautiful and has provided great shelter and food for my fry. :)

I did however pay more than the price advertised on here, which I guess I could expect that it would change from store-to-store.

I bought the Anacharis Plant (weed) for my 45G. Within a week it already had side sprouts, which I cut and added to my other tank. It grows quickly and with little maintenance.

I recently brought 2 Angels and they love this plant. They will take a couple of nibbles whenever they are hungry or need a snack. Depending on how quick the new transplants grow, I may be getting more.

I would recommend this plant to anyone looking for an easy live plant to add to their tank(s).

I use this for my goldfish they love it. The plant doesn't die easily and it is easy to trim. They grow huge though

Great plant - I know it is technically considered a weed but it looks great and grows fast. I like that it actually helps to improve water quality and is super easy to grow. A+ rating!!

I LOVE this plant. It grows fast and looks amazing.

The only problem I have is that sometimes some leaves come out of the bundle and die very quickly, but the plant soon grows more.
It looks amazing with my fish and it doesn't need much care. I don't use plant food and it still grows rapidly.
It didn't grow after about 2 weeks, then suddenly, it started growing a lot.
There are a few pieces of it that come off (the smaller leaves) but they get easily cleaned up from the filter.

we got this plant a few months ago and let me tell you they grow fast! the first week they grew 5 inches! (we got four)
they are also very hardy plants, the the fish chewed of the top part of the plant and we replanted the top which started growing.
id recommend this plant to someone with a tall tank not a long.
