The best part is the BREAKAWAY buckle. My cat is safe both because I adjust the collar properly so it can slip off if need be, and because the breakaway feature works like it is supposed to.

My kitten was 4 months old and pretty small. He got his lower jaw stuck in the loopy part where the band adjusts. I had to adjust the collar again, then wear it around my own skinny wrist a few days to make it lay reasonably flat. He doenst object to the idea of a collar, but if he happens to scratch it, it falls off. In fact, it pretty much snaps off if you blink at it. I'm pretty disappointed. I like the safety idea but i didnt expect to to come off THAT easy. I'd like to get another that stays on better, but I'm not sure if falling off so easily is just a breakaway collar thing.

as some people already mentioned, that collar comes off too easily. First I thought its good, so he cannot get caught and strangled, but it comes off even when he scratches. So after the third time its finally lost.
I liked the idea of it.

I bought this when I first got my adopted cat. I thought it was the best thing. She is an indoor cat and very inquisitive. When I first put it on her I was happy till three hours later I found it on the floor in the living room. I had to put it back on her and I did this for three days. Every time she scratched her neck at the collar it came off. I finally got so fed up with trying to hunt her down to put it back on I just threw the collar away and went out and bought another one. I love the new one since when she scratches she's not pulling this one off.

This style of breakaway collar wont stay on my cat. If he scratches the right spot the collar pops right off. I've had to put it back on him more times than i can count. I finally gave up and decided to search for a new one.

My cat manages to get this collar off about once every other day. It looks really good on him, but when you tighten it, the strap doesn't stay completely flat where it is looped around the square ring. I think this may help him to scratch it off. What's the point of a cute collar if it doesn't stay on? I noticed some other brands have a different mechanism for the "breakaway" part of the collar that may not be as easy to get out of, but will separate if the cat is caught in something.

Pros: fabric is good quality, attractive design

Cons: doesn't stay on, collar doesn't lay flat if you adjust the size
