On November 17th, we were in a serious car accident. Our trailer, that we were towing, was picked up by the wind and flipped, which caused our car to roll.

These seatbelts saved the lives of our dogs. They were completely and totally uninjured. They weren't even bruised!

I am forever grateful for these seatbelts.

I just bought this today for my welsh corgi and it works absolutely great. It was really easy to adjust and she seems to like it. I drove around with her tonight to try it out and she wasn't able to get out of it and it worked better than I expected.

I travel a lot back and forth to my parent's house, which is an hour away, and this makes me feel so much better than putting her in a crate while we drive. It also makes me feel a lot better knowing that if we were ever in an accident, there's a much bigger chance of her staying safe. In short, totally worth the money!!

I totally agree with the person who said that this harness runs large. My dog is 32 pounds, but I bought the small one (the directions said 10 to 25 pounds) and it fit perfectly. At first, the tether seemed too short and I wasn't sure if my dog would be able to lie down, but he figured it out and was fine. We had to go on an 8 hour drive and he seemed to be very comfortable for the entire ride!

Well...it works

After reading all of the excellent ratings, I'm pretty disappointed in this harness. I have a very wiggly lab puppy and have never been able to adjust this thing so that it actually stays in place. She wiggles and twists and it rides up or twists or the bottom half flips up. It doesn't matter how tight I get it, she can get out of it. It may work great for a calmer dog, but I'm going to look for a different design. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it does do what's designed to do (hold her in place) when she's in it (for however long that lasts).

Great harness, runs large

We bought this for our boxer/ boston terrier mix to use for car rides. We like the tether that allows the dog to sit or lay and that the harness seems very comfortable for him. The one drawback was that at 40 lbs he should fit into a medium which was huge. We exchanged for a small which fit fine and still had enough room in case he gained a bit of weight.

Switched from the medium to the small, even though the weight should of been medium.(47 pounds) Have a pointer husky cross that has a pointers body, and the small harness fit her chest better. Unfortunately the tether that goes with it was too short for her body length. Ended up using a clamp and tether that wasn't being used for a car seat, and have gotten everything adjusted to fit perfectly. Now she is safe in our travels. Should of gotten this 7 years ago! Would of given it a 5 except for the issues with the tether not being able to adjust longer.

Just enjoyed my first ride in a convertible with my dog securely strapped in. She enjoyed it as much as I did. She wasn't stressed, she was very calm and comfortable. Best thing I could do for my little Mattie. Highly recommend this product.

My Dog Was Unharmed In a Serious Accident

I was in a serious car accident yesterday with my dog in the passenger seat. She is a large mixed breed (mostly Pointer and Retriever). She was wearing this safety harness at the time of the accident.

I was hit on her side (at the front of the car, not right on her door) and my airbag deployed. The car was a total write off. While very shaken up, my Maggie came out without a scratch on her. She doesn't even seem to have any soreness. I feel like I was hit in the chest with a cannon (those airbags don't fool around) but she came out fine.

I just wanted to say that buying this harness and making her wear it whenever in the car was probably the most responsible dog ownership decision I have made yet. Not only did it improve her enjoyment of car rides because it made her more sure-footed, but it also saved her life.

Just like car seats for your kids, it may not be likely that you'll have an accident with your dog in the car, but if you do, you want him/her to survive it!

Pros: keeps dog from jumping around the car, keeps dog from losing footing

Cons: clip can be fiddly
