Our last dog lived to be 18 years old. She was a very healthy dog her whole life. She was on regular Science Diet most of her life. Our new large breed puppy is doing great on this food. No issues.

I could not find anything that agreed with y GSD puppy -he has the runs constantly - i tried frommes, royal canin then tried this!! wonderful! it works like a charm, his coat is thick and glossy and i highly recommend this for dogs with sensitive stomachs like German Shepherds

We had our Portuguese Water Dog puppy on some of the other foods, like Blue Buffalo, and Wellness, but her stools were always soft, and we were always at the vet for UTIs. It turned out that she is prone to having too much protein in her urine, thus too many crystals, which could have led to bladder stones. The vet suggested this food for her- it balanced everything out in our puppy, and she is now healthy and happy.

I have always fed Science diet to my dogs. When we got a new large breed puppy, we decided to try the Buffalo Blue food that we had heard so much about. After gradually blending the two together I noticed that my puppy was avoiding the new and trying to pick out the old. I continued with the transition thinking he would eventually get used to it, and he did. Never eating the Blue with the same enthusiasm as the SD, but he ate it. Problem was, his stools had become very loose with the new food. I gave it a few more weeks, but no improvement. Had him checked for worms, but that was not the problem. My vet suggested we switch back to SC, we did, and the stools became normal again!! This family will stick with Science Diet!

Pros: high quality, digestible, taste

When we first took our Great Dane to the vet, he gave us a free sample of Large Breed puppy. Since the breeder had him on large breed pro plan, we tried to mix some of SD to switch him over. Whistler wouldn't touch it. He would eat around all the SD. I looked at the label, and corn is the first ingredient! Why would I spend $45 on something that has a filler instead of meat as the first ingredient? I talked to my friend who works with a vet and she says that vets don't receive that much training on nutrition. I switched to Blue Buffalo and Whistler sits right after his morning walk in anticipation of breakfast.

When we adopted our Husky Puppy, Kai, he was 8 weeks and was eating Purina Dog Chow.. We quickly switched him over to this puppy food and he's grown up to be such a healthy and active boy! I can tell how much he LOVES the food. I even admit it smells great! He eats it all up and would probably try to eat the whole 35 lb bag if I let him! Great product .. A+

Now we are switching him to the Science Diet Healthy Mobility Adult Large Breed Dog Food.

After using several other brands , including some all natural, organic brands, we bought this food and our six-month old Collie puppy loves it. We use the large kibble for obedience training as well.

We had a lab and bought this at PetSmart. It was pricey, but we had a $5 dollar off coupon. He gobblws it up once we got home, even though the food itself looks disgusting, like poo.

I have grown up on Large Breed Puppy formula and having started at a small 12 lbs at 7 weeks to a bounding 50 lbs at 6 months. I have grown fast but am strong and agile, able to climb cliffs swim for hours, chase chipmunks, rabbits and squirrels. I put a lot of wear and tear on my knees and hips but I'm feeling great. Thanks Science Diet.

Years after wanting a dog, I got my very first about four months ago. Being a puppy he would eat his meals up as fast as he could! Then he took a turn for the worse, having two types of worms. The previous owners had not gotten his vaccinations/check-ups so I rushed him to the vet to get him registered/medicated and before I knew it he was all better. After getting back home I continued his medicated diet and then I began back on regular food. He had still not gotten back to 100% so I changed him over to Science Diet and you would not believe the wonders that it worked. He's grown so much and only 8 months old!

I have tried Science Diet for my large breed dogs and it is just not the food for them. The main ingredents are corn based product (fillers) and I disapprove. My dogs also do not like it and a bowl would go untouched for a day and even then they only nibbled on it.

He is perfectly healthy but came to us a picky eater. He loves this food and his stools are fine. I am currently mixing it with the Pro Plan Large Breed (which I can't find locally) that he came with and it is working out great.

Made my dog sick

My puppy never seemed satisfied with this food and his stool was always runny. I was wondering why he kept throwing up with this food, it's suppose to be the best. It wasn't until I spoke to someone at the store who suggest I tried a food that didn't have all the fillers, artificial preservatives and other junk that most S.D formula's have. So I took their advice and switched my pup to a holistic food that they sell and immediately I noticed a difference. His stool was firm, he didn't throw up and best of all he only eats 2 cups a day of the better quality food. He is close to a 100lbs.
