Lovely way to spice up a room

Just recently picked up two of these guys, one male one female. I named the boy Elvis because he has a bit of a spine and a fantastic Dewlap. The girl is red, because she usually is a brownish-red colour, although she occasionally goes green. Im keeping them with my longtailed lizard, Littlefoot, and theyre all doing alright. Ive got several fake plants for them to climb on, a few on the warm side and a fee on the cooler side of the tank. Red and Elvis usually perch up right under the lamp to stay warm, and Littlefoot usually sits under them. I popped in a few crickets a few days ago, and i can no longer find them, so i assume they ate em. However, mine prefer mealworms, red ate three of the little guys the other night. keep it misted, get calcium powder on the food every few feedings, and your guys should do fine. Gonna upgrade to a larger tank soon, and give Elvis a little harem, maybe throw in a few brown geckos and another longtailed so Littlefoot isnt too lonely.

First off I would like to note that Green Anoles being cheap to acquire do require a lot of attention and a fair amount of an investment to keep healthy and happy.

I have a male and a female breeding pair that I got on Friday. They seemed a little thin but they seem to be happy and healthy. They love their habitat and are fairly active in their home. I keep them on a wall shelf about 4 feet off the ground so my cats are not in view to scare them.

I recommend that anyone who is considering on buying Anole's as pets as it takes a lot of work and it helps to know how they react to other elements in the environment.

my friend thomas gave me a green anole and he was the sweetest thing i love him he is the best green anole ever he is awesome i here that some are mean and won't let you hold them but he let me hold him he is so sweet i love them well that it check out my other stuff

I have one green one bahaman anole and a long tailed and they all get along great! My green one is so docile and great to watch! Easy to care for, relatively clean and an easy reptile to learn with!

I have a green anole named rex. He is awesome. Anoles usally dont like to be picked up. So if you want an anole dont be bummed out if it runs away when you try to touch it. You should also only buy live small crickets for them b/c they cant eat the bigger ones or they will get it eaten by the crickets.Anoles make great pets if thats what you like.

I had my green anole for about 8 or 9 years. I was so sad when he died because he was the best pet in the world. I was very suprised that he lived that long, i think it was because i always took him out and played with him, and took great care of him. I definitely reccomend a green anole to beginner pet owners. I bought my anole about 6 months ago, knowing nothing about them. Later (about 1 week) I realized how much work it take for them to be happy, and now I have him in a 10 gallon tank. Earlier, I had him in a small, 3 gallon tank, and it was way too overcrowded. If you're really wanting this lizard, keep in mind, that they are small, and VERY fast, but they are very fun to watch, especially when the jump around their cage like a lunatic!

I got my green anole about a week ago and she is awesome. It is so cool to watch her eat and jump around in her tank. Not to mention she is very easy to care for, and if somebody says they are not social don't listen to them the first day I got her she fell asleep in my hand and didn't even try to get out. So if you're looking for a great pet I would definitly recomend the green anole.

I had an anole who passed away last weekend after having him for 3 years, and I must say he was very funny and eazy to care for but they do not like to be held and only live around 5 years but if your fine with that an anole would be great for you.

I got my very first lizard, a green anole, about a month and a half ago. I love her so much, and I am so glad I got her. She is so energetic, and loves to be held and given attention! At first, she didn't like to be held at all. As she got used to her new home, and used to me picking her up, she started to love it! Sometimes, I will even just put my palm flat next to her, and she will jump into my hand! Occasionally she will run away from my hand, and not let me catch her. But, after she is actually in my hand, she loves it! If shes feeling energetic, she will climb all over my hands, up my arms, or even jump into my lap! If she is calm, sometimes I will hold her securely in my hand, so she has enough room to move, but she still can feel the warmth from my hand, and then she will fall asleep in my hand!

Okay, yes. Having a lizard is also a very big responsibility. You must mist the cage every day, sometimes even two or three times. This is how they will drink the majority of their water. (They drink the water droplets that fall off of the leaves from being misted.) Another thing you have to remember is to dust their food with calcium. My green anole personally, doesn't really like crickets. She will eat them, but I normally give her the waxworms or mealworms. She will eat around 2 or 3 (waxworms/mealworms/crickets) each time I feed her. (Which is around 3-5 times a week.)

Another thing you must remember with these little critters, is that they need a basking spot. They need a spot in their tank where they have a special reptile heat lamp and where the temperature is a little bit warmer then the rest of the tank.
