this hamster is a great buy i love them there are easy to care for and are easy to clean up after they need alot of room to run around in and the hamster wheels are to slow for them

robs are real nice they DO bite but when they do it does NOT hurt i have a rely cute one named pebbles and i love him!! i began to loose hope and secretly wanted a different pet BUT now i trained him were you put him or her in my hands and both hands around him and leave a air hole in your hands do this 1 or 2 times a day and then after a week or three days he or her will be grate!!
Pebbles is amazing!

Robo Dwarf Hamsters are amazingly cute and dreadfully mean! When i was very little I had one and it was a little mean ball of fluff. I would play with it and it would't bite, but then when I put it back it would bite.....HARD! Other then their temper they would be great as just a "look no touch" type of pet. Because you must be crazy if you don't think these guys are cute!

Very cute! I have enjoyed having them, I got 2 so they wouldn't be lonely. The only thing is that I have had them for about 2 years and still don't come into my hands willingly. If I even put my hand next to one of them the dart across the cage. I figured that since they are dwarf hamsters they would be like that, but I wish i could interact with them more.

my robo dwarf hamster,Opal was three months old when we got her in December. It is now early May/late April and she is now six to seven months old and i have had her for four to five months. She still is scared of me.
i have done every thing from taking to her to trying to hold her but nothing works.if you are struggling with this, i have found some progress in talking to her. Be honest and ill write another review on what to do next once i know what to do next.

I got my robo dwarf hamster about six months ago. she is a cute hamster but sometimes she can get into bad moods and she will bite me. She is at her happiest when it is night time. During the day she is cranky and if i try to play with her she will bite! but at night she is so happy and playful. I do recommend this type of hamster but it depends on how much you want to play with it. if you are a night time person then i do recommend this hamster but if you like to play with them during the day then i do not.

I have never had any pets before, but I've always wanted one. So I bought this myself on my birthday and I love him so much! I won't recommend robo hamsters for kids though because they are really scared of people. Also I don't think you can ever tame them or to hold them on your hands. I tried every method to gain his trust but whenever I make a slightly quick/loud movement he will just panic and hide in his hidehouse :(. Robos are very energetic so a wheel is a must buy for them to spend all their energy.
The best way I recently found to get closer to my robo is to put his wheel extra high so he can't climb onto it by himself. I then put my palm under the wheel so it is the only way he can go onto the wheel. Just be patient and let him smell my fingers for a couple minutes and he will start climb on myr hand. I'm not teasing him.....okay maybe I am lol. He looks so cute when he tries to get on the wheel but fail.

I got two for my birthday and they were my first hamsters!One of them is very affectionate,while the other is very jumpy and fast(it escaped once by jumping out of my hand)They love carrots and sunflower seeds.They bit me once and drew blood.But they are soo fun and love to sleep on their backs!!(at first I thought they died but then he flipped over!)

About five days ago I got my first Robo.They are so friendly!He was a little skittish at first,but on the 3rd day I was able to get him in his ball(which he loves). I've started taming him and he loves being stroked and petted!The only thing is, Robos are really fast, so don't let them free until your 100% positive they wont run.

Please don't buy a Robo, or any pet for that matter, until you have done research and are sure that you can care for one properly. Because of the difficulty of these hamsters, I would only recommend a Robo to, youngest, a very responsible and trusting 12 year old, for the safety of the animal and the kid.

Over all, Robos are the nicest, cutest things anyone could have as a pet!!!!!!

So I had been wondering for months what kind of hamster I should get, and I did alot of research on all kinds and kind of locked on to the idea of getting a robo. So I spent alot of time finding out all about them and decided that was the kind I wanted. I finally got one almost 3 months after I orginally wanted one and she is the CUTEST THING! The only problem is she is so skiddish but has recently warming up to me. I just wish they weren't nocturnal! >:P

My baby Rue passed away last week(R.I.P). She was wonderful and a bit entergetic,but nice and never was aggressive to me. I could not have asked for a better hamster! I would highly reccomend them. I really loved her and I'll be getting another soon.

Today I just got my first Robo Dwarf Hamster, Boo. Boo is sweet, playful, smart, and funny! I love Robos because they are sweet. After a day of training, they will let you hold them! It is best to get one though, unless your cage is freakishly gigantic. Robos love exercise balls. My little boy could be in his exercise ball all day! He loves being handled, praised, and petted. I highly recommend this as your first or fiftieth hamster! Boo is a baby, two weeks old. He is about 2 inches, someday he'll be 3 and a half inches! Its fun to see them play and grow. If you have them for a year, you still love them! Never get two though, they fight, and become sad if they feel one is better than the other. Your Robo loves being spoiled!!! I highly recommend!

I just got my robo, Gustav ,"Gus" for short, like 6 months ago. He's perrfect, hes soooo cute and loves to climb up on his cage. i have almost been able to teach him some tricks not exacly the usual but he comes when i call his name and i can hand feed him. he loves his wheel and loves using it at night. in general it was very fun getting him and all his litte stuff i got him a ball and he likes following me arround the house. hes sooo cute even my family really likes him. thnx petsmart for offering such great pets.
