These were easy to engrave and attach to the collars. We used a small drill bit to make the hole in the fabric and a hammer to flatten the rivets.
The only thing I didn't like is that they are flat so I simply bent them a bit to round out the collar.

The little stubs they give you to clip the ID falls off so easily. What's the point of having an ID tag if it's prone to falling? So the 3rd ID tag, I just sewed it onto the collar. I didn't have to poke a hole in his collar so the stubs can fit, and sewing it ensured me that it wasn't going to randomly fall off. So if you don't mind a little work, this ID is great. It's small, it's not uncomfortable, and it doesn't jingle!

I had moved into an apartment in a new neighbourhood and since my cat loves the great outdoors, I had to get him a collar. He hates the bells and dangly tags and gets irritated with things around his neck in general, so I tried this one. It is small but clearly displays the info and fits perfectly on the collar. It is easy to attach and does not tear off. It also does not rust or chip - he lost his collar in someone's backyard this past fall for 2 months, and when I got it back, it was in perfect condition. I would recommend this to all finicky cats that need to wear a collar.

This nameplate is great because it's not a dangling tag; it attaches right onto the collar. I got one for each of my 4 cats. You laser-engrave it right in the PetSmart store, then attach it to the collar with the tiny rivets provided in the package. You'll need a leather punch or sharp awl to make tiny holes in the collar. Pliers work best to secure the rivets.

We have always had silencers on our cats' tags, but they don't really "silence" so much as take the edge off the tag noise. However, these tags promise NO tag noise. And it costs around the same as a "normal" dangling tag. The only concern I had was the size of the engraving - especially as you can go up to 4 lines on a very small object. It was hard to gauge from online pictures. It seemed like it was going to be so tiny as to be completely illegible.
However, after some hesitation we took the plunge. I am SO glad we did. The tags look smart and again - NO noise, not when they shake their heads, not when they eat out of their food dish - nothing.
The machine automatically sizes the text according to how many characters on a line, and how many lines on the tag. I only used 2 lines - it was very easy to read. Not tiny at all. In fact I believe it's bigger text than on our adult cat's old tag. Additionally, the standard font is very readable while also being smart and stylish (GREAT design job! typography is everything)
You WILL need to make a hole in your pet's collar. I was not expecting this when I bought the tag - just didn't think that far, I guess. Our cats' collars are fabric, so it wasn't as easy as just a poke. The booklet recommends a leather punch or drill, but a drill would just shred the fabric, and we aren't buying special equipment just to get a tag on a collar. Husband accomplished what we needed with a hammer and nail, just to make a hole - then used a mini screwdriver to stretch the hole big enough that we could get the fasteners through.
The end result is so worth it!

I will never, ever use any other kind of tag. I've had to replace these tag several times due to my phone number changing, and it's always a shame as the tag still looks brand new. We use collar tags and enjoy the lack of jingling!
Pros: durable, looks great
