Does include glass tops which is nice. Limited on which filters you can use for it since the opening on the back is smaller than most big filters because of the middle brace. Need to upgrade light if you want to grow plants, inluded light not powerful enough since it is a tall tank. Still a good deal for a tank, stand, and glass tops.

A great compact Aquarium

I had been looking for a bigger tank to replace my 10 gallon tank. However, I live in an apartment so space is limited. When I found this tank I thought it was a great compromise. It holds a larger amount of water but doesn't take up the usual amount of space. One of the downfalls I've had is finding tall enough plants to fill in the background. I've found the Madagascar Lace is a great choice. The other downfall I found was the bar in the middle of the tank. While it's nice to support the light and lid it limits the space to put a filter in. I had to buy a different filter that was a bit smaller since the first I had chosen was too wide.

Very good value, the stand is solid, and the tank is a great size. Only about as wide as a typical 29 gallon. I'm using it for a marine set up and it's working great. The stand also has a large open back so it's easy to route hoses for canister filers, airline, etc. The only down side is the light it comes with. It's something to just stick in the attic or throw away. Uses a single bulb, isn't nearly bright enough. If you can pick this up on sale that'll just about cover the cost of a decent light, and you'll have a great set up.

Pros: easy to install, sturdy

Tank takes up only a couple inches more space than a 29 gallon, but holds twice as much water. Great if you have limited space or prefer not to have the long skinny tanks.

Stand is particle board but is quite sturdy and has a nice shelf in it for storing stuff.

The light is a bit on the low-end, uses old magnetic ballasts and the light output is low, I'd definitely recommend replacing it with a t5ho fixture

Only con is the cross brace makes it hard to fit large wood into the tank and also blocks quite a bit of light. Note to manufacturer: consider replacing the brace material with acrylic or other clear plastic, and make it temporarily removable.

I received this tank as a gift for Christmas, and I absolutely LOVE it! It is definitely a tall tank so make sure you have fish that are suited for these conditions. I have 4 fancy goldfish in it right now so I will eventually have to get a longer and wider tank, but my plan is to use this as a community tank after moving my goldies. It fits perfectly in the corner of my room, and I really enjoy the black color. It feels modern, and it has lots of storage space!

I recently bought this tank onsale for 240, and i love it, i dont have any fish in it yet, but soon i will, i would recommend this tank too anyone for a starter tank, only bad thing, it doesnt come with a filter.

this was only my second tank and its perfect for my 2 green terrors and dinosaur bichir and pictus catfish! its easy to aquascape and looks great with an asian theme! saves space and money becuase of the tank and stand combo plus it comes with a lid and light which could of cost me a extra 80$ at the pet store nearby! only thing i could think of that made me wish i could of returned it was when my power filter couldnt fit due to the bar but then i customized the filter via hack saw and now its perfect and since i have had it i have had 0 problems if anyone is getting a good sized aqaurium get this one its a great deal and your fish will love it!

Pros: fish love it, everything about it, big enough to aquascapsmall enough for any room

Overall this tank is good if I had a chance to take this tank back I would just for the simple fact that the fish I went with will out grow this tank in about a year or so "Green Terror". When I read more about African and South American Cichlids they really stressed the length over the height which this tank lacks the height is good to have but if your looking for any kind of Cichlid length is much more wanted hints "If I could take it back"...

The stand is very nice Black goes with any kind of decor in the house though the first shelf is a little to short I think you can lower it which I will be looking into.

We live 5 minutes from downtown where space is a premium. We're in a 3-story patio home and we didn't think we had SPACE for an aquarium altho we really wanted one. This is the ideal solution. It's big enough to be able to stock decent sized fish w/o taking too much floor space. We set up our tank 5 wks ago and we already have several beautifully colored 6" Cichlids thriving in it. We are so happy we are already thinking of getting a 2nd one, to hold the gorgeous "nice" fish that cannot be tankmates with the aggressive Cichlids. Very relaxing to watch!

I purchased this tank over a year ago and I love it. I like the fact that it is not the traditional 55 gallon tank, long and thin. The design of this tank is great for those who have limited floor space as well. The stand that comes in the package is also very nice and has plenty of room for storage.
