An Ideal Toy

I really enjoy this toy, almost as much as by bird! She's a conure, not completely grown but almost there, and she has a tendency to bite and pluck. I thought getting this toy would resolve the issue... And it did! After just a few hours with this toy, her biting had nearly vanished. She also is very fond of this toy and she was happy enough I ended up getting her a second one. The ropes are flexible so she can take them around her cage, the clasp holds up so the toy doesn't fall, the beads on the end of the ropes are convenient so the ropes don't become undone, the little straw-like pieces are amazing for chewing and plucking! There is not one flaw in this toy and I am very pleased. This is a great, safe, and fun toy!

My Conure is a biter, so I decided to get her this toy to bite at. It's great! She loves the ropes at the bottom and they stretch out very far. She likes to bite on the ropes and the straw-like figures. They provide a great amount of fun, keeping her entertained all day. It's easy to wash and very durable. My bird loves it!

I adopted a 5-6 year old Senegal who wasn't socialized and was pretty neglected. He would over preen, shred, barber, and pluck his feathers, and pick at his skin; testing showed no health issues, so we started working on his behavior. He was severely phobic of anything new in his cage or his immediate environment, and would destroy his feathers whenever anything new was introduced... Except for these toys! I stuffed the straws with bits of his favorite foods, like chopped nuts and dried fruit, and he jumped right in. He ADORES this toy, and the "Calypso Plucky"! Not only does he not destroy his feathers when he has access to one or more of these toys, he spends his day actively destroying these toys instead. He enjoys them so much, that we've taken to buying this line of toys in bulk, and doing so has allowed his feathers to grow back. We couldn't be happier! These toys are durable for their size, but are probably not appropriate for any bird bigger than a Senegal or, with supervision, maybe a Timneh (both my Timneh and my Jardine's have destroyed these toys in minutes; my Jardine's and Cape have both bent the wire and broken the wooden beads.) For smaller birds, phobic birds, or very gentle birds, especially pluckers, these toys are fantastic!
