I have a 10lb male chi/jack russel mix. Collects the hair until I brush him again and then I noticed all the hair went right back on him. The brush is way to large for a small dog and it doesn't collect short hair well.

I have one of these brushes & use it on the breed of dog that it is supposed to be used on, unlike many others who use it on short coat dogs & wonder why it hurts them. You can use this brush on any type of medium to long coat or curly coat dog. I have a standard poodle & it works through his hair perfectly. He is so prone to getting matts throughout his rump & belly and this brush works great on working out those pesky tats. It also helps get out the hair he has shed that also causes tats. Overall I love this brush & it is quite beneficial to have if you own a breed of dog that supports a long coat or curly coat. :)

I actually bought this product for my cat. He's a medium-length fur cat who when we adopted him had a lot of shedding. He has a history of stomach troubles and I was immediately concerned about hairballs with him. I brush him once daily with this brush and his coat is ALWAYS healthy and free of shedding fur now. I love this brush. His skin is also healthy and seemingly unaffected.

Pros: gentle, Shed Prevention, shiny coat

This thing is great for bunnies. It reduces shedding and my bunny really enjoys being brushed with its soft bristles.

I got a brush like this for my 9lb terrier. She has a medium coat and she hated it. When I picked up the brush she ran away and hid. I tried it on my cat and my boxer they both hated it. It got alot of the hair off for the few seconds I got to brush her but I think I will stick with my old brush.

Pros: removes hair

Cons: dogs & cats hate it.

We bought the version of this brush for short hair breeds to use it on our black lab puppy that sheds EVERYWHERE! We were looking for something cheaper than the Furmanator but gave the same results. The brush itself works great and obviously pulled out a reasonable amount of hair. However, in order to get the hair out, you have to pull hard. Our puppy tried everything she could to avoid us because it hurt her so bad. We had to hold her down just to brush for a few minutes. It recommends using this everyday but we will be lucky if we can use it ever again with her.

Pros: helps reduce shedding

Cons: way too painful for dogs
