I was pretty happy with this toy. Our pit bull terrier loves it! It gives him something to chew on to help clean his teeth and exercise his muscles. It's lasted a couple of months now, which is exactly what we were looking for in a toy because he usually destroys everything we give him :-)

this bone is a good bone for aggresive chewers. just buy one size larger for extra aggresive chewers.i have a small dog(29lbs.) who is a very aggresive chewer and i buy wolf size in this bone otherwise she destroys it in no time. wolf size lasts for months.

I have 2 very strong chewers and they loved the flavor and texture but unfortunately this bone doesn't last.

It's not formed from one solid piece but from several pieces pressed together lengthwise. Once they realized there was a seam or a weak spot, it was over. They had the bone split in half lengthwise in less than a day.

I'm not sure why it's marketed specifically for "powerful chewers" - it may be ok to try if your dog isn't a strong chewer but, as with all toys, only with supervision.

I buy, and love, several of Nylabone's solid products for powerful chewers but this didn't make the cut. If it was made with one piece construction I'd probably try it again because my dogs seemed to love it but otherwise it's a waste of money for our family.

Pros: Keeps Pet Entertained

Cons: easily destroyed

we have 3 mini dachsunds...powerful chewers... this has become the favorite chew ...the bacon smell is not noticeable like some other toys..but it certainly must be beckoning to them...a definitely great product for strong chewers.

I wouldn't classify my dog as a "power chewer", but once he figured out that he could get those little red bacon-flavored bits out, he worked hard. I'm sure they're not harmful, but I don't like the idea of him swallowing hard plastic.

I have owned a smaller dog previously but my Doberman Mix... was quite a handful when I first got her.

I had no knowledge about dogs destroying everything around the house when they are not walked!

I also realized... dog toys and supplies are quite pricey!

I didn't know which toys would be best for my destroyer.. since she ripped up her bed.. blankets.. and such.

I tried a rubber ring toy and this nylabone.

I cannot not EMPHASIZE how great this nylabone is!

My dog isn't trained enough to be let loose in the house yet because she does not do well with cats and we own two in the house.

She is usually tied to my waist on a leash while I sit on the edge of a couch.

At first.. she never played with her bone because i left it in the kennel.

Now a days.. I leave the bone lying around RIGHT next to the couch and she will just plop her butt down and start chewing on it!

Matter of fact.. while I write this review..she is aggressively (in a good way) destroying her bone!

She is really ROWDY.. and will not stay still but lately her training has been going well :)

She will just chew on the bone side ways.. upside down.. rolled over.. super cute!

She can last hours just chewing on it while I'm on the laptop or watching a movie even!

As for.. durability? It is STILL in good condition.

The round corners have bite marks but it did not break yet!

:) well she is up and ready to play so that is all for my opinion on this review.

I plan on buying more of the sturdy nylabone products!

I bought it for my 3yr old Boxer/American Bulldog. He loves to chew and loves textures...this bone does it for him!! We've had the bone for almost 4 months and it's still his most favorite thing to chew.

I have two dogs, a 2 1/2 year old Lab/Beagle mix and a 10 month old Visla/Lab mix, both between 35-40lbs. I bought the largest size in this product (Intended for 50lbs+ dogs) two days ago and my Visla/Lab puppy already has already dug grooves into it and pieces of the orange parts bitten off. She loves the product but I'm not sure how long it will be before she gets to the hallow interior and it will need to be thrown away.

Pros: Keeps Pet Entertained, easy to wash

While my dogs enjoyed chewing on this bone, it didnt last long before they chewed to the hollow inside and then the plastic came off in chunks and i had to throw it out. If only this product was solid all the way through.

My golden retriever loved this product but, like many of the other reviews, he destroyed it within 2 weeks. Because it is hollow, once he got the first crack in the sides, he focused all his energy on making the hole larger. I have never had a problem like this with any other Nylabone product. This hollow design just didn't withstand my aggressive chewer.

Like others say, this bone is not durable at all. I would not recommend it and the ends of the bones break off in big chunks. My golden went through this in about 2 weeks.

My French Bulldog puppy LOVES this bone and so far we have not had any issues with the bone splitting, but I can see how it could. While this toy may not be great for powerful chewers as it is advertised, for my teething Frenchie it is one of her favorites!

I trust the Nylabone name and don't think of my Boston Terrier/Italian Greyhound mix as a powerful chewer, but she destroyed this bone in about two weeks. It is hollow and, as other reviewers said, it split in half.

Within 24 hours of use, the bone began to split down its seam. I have an English Bulldog and an American Bulldog/Boxer mix. I wouldn't agree that this product is made for "Powerful Chewers" Although, the loved it, it became unsafe.
