I avoid spraying it on his toys because he instantly switches form 'hunt mode' to 'I love this toy'. Its entertaining to watch him carpet surf over sprayed areas.

I quite like the peppermint tea smell.

My 4 cats LOVE it. I love its all natural ingredients, which are just distilled water and catnip oil, nothing else and no propellants. Since oil and water naturally seperate, it is recommended to "SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE". (Otherwise, you'll spray all the water out of it with little effect until the oil at the top reaches the bottom and then you'd be spraying pure catnip oil,) so just remember to shake it well before each use.
(The back of the package does inform that "Approximately 70% of cats over the age of six months will respond favorably to catnip.")

guess no substitute for the real stuff as my cat loves ANY brand of catnip

We purchased this product several months ago for our three (then, five) cats and they simply love it. It is HIGHLY concentrated, so we recommend testing it first, and spraying from about 8-12 inches away. Also, test on an inconspicuous area when spraying on items you don't want damaged as it is natural oil and can change the color of fabrics, etc. Catnip can have a wide variety of responses in cats, from relaxing them, to causing them to frolic... or get angry. So, as the price is a little more than other catnip products, we recommend finding out how your cat reacts to catnip before purchasing.
As I stated, it's very concentrated, so a little goes a long way. A great value for the price; it will last you a long time. VERY high quality. I've grown catnip for some time and this product really is better than organic catnip leaves. We highly recommend it.

Pros: high quality, long-lasting, great value

Cons: slightly pricey, very concentrated-be prepared
