We got this for our american pitbull terrier when he was 2 months old. He loved it! It kept him very occupied, but by the time he was 4 months, he figured out how to chew off pieces of the toy, and quickly ruined it. This is great for very young puppies or older dogs, but for bigger puppies who love to chew and investigate (or destroy), this won't last.
Pros: great for small puppies or older dogs
Cons: not durable enough for tough chewers

I don't understand how this toy is supposed to work. Why is there a big hole on one end for the contents to fall out? Standing in the store staring at it, I figured that once I inserted one of the proprietary treats it would make sense. Nope. My dog looks at me like I'm stupid for wasting my money.
Cons: doesn't do what it's supposed to, smells like horrible rubber, my dog thinks i'm an idiot for buying him this toy

Fun toy

I bought the mini version of this toy for my puppy. He loves it, with or without any food in it. I put his puppy food in it but I'll be using dog snacks once I buy some more. The only problem I see with it is that it empties the food out a little too quickly so after maybe five minutes, it's empty again.

I have the large blue version of this for my two year old dog, so I bought this version for our new five month old puppy. Great for stuffing puppy biscuits in (sometimes I'll put a piece of turkey meat in the bottom and then the puppy biscuit and close the opening with peanut butter). I also stick the small end in a regular sized kong to up the difficulty level. Melodie loves it but she's already pulling off little pieces big end where she sank her little shark teeth in and it's been about a month that we've had it. I'll be replacing this soon.
Pros: price
Cons: doesn't hold up well

I agree with one of the other reviewers that this toy does not work well with little treats/food as they'd just come out on their own with hardly any effort.
However, I stuff this toy with peanut butter (easy to do with a butter knife & peanut butter is safe for dogs) and it keeps my Pomeranian busy and happy licking it out of the wide end like ice cream from an indestructible cone. He will also turn it around and chew on the narrow end in an effort to squeeze the last traces of peanut butter out the little holes on the sides.
He has other toys he likes better (his favorite is another toy you can get at Petsmart but not online that is a treat ball combined with a stuffed animal) and he doesn't play with it unless it at least smells like peanut butter, but overall it's a pretty good, durable toy that gives his playtime some variety. Just don't forget the peanut butter.
Pros: durable, chewy, machine washable
Cons: not good at dispensing small treats

The toy does not come with a stopper for the wide opening. The treats that go along with this toy are very small and there is no way for them to stay inside the toy. As soon as you place the toy on the ground the treats fall out of the openings. There is no challenge for the pet. It does not "occupi" my dogs at all!
Pros: my two dogs do like to chew on it though!

Our puppy loves this as a chew toy and just for general playing. We bought the activity bits to put inside and that is where we were disappointed. As we understand the bits are to come out of the small holes on the sides of the toy when the puppy moves the toy around. That is not the case. The bits just fall out through the large hole at the bottom (the one through which we put the bits) when our puppy plays with it. So she gets all the bits at once with no effort. The object of this toy was to occupy the puppy while he/she figures out how to get the bits to come out of the little holes. Basically it is great just as a toy, forget the activity bits.
