I have bought Weaver products in the past, mainly for my horse and I found them to be of superb quality so when I found these collars and leashes for dogs I decided to give them a go. I have not been disappointed. Just like all of the leather products I have encountered by weaver this collar is made very well, the craftmanship is excellent and not just for a mass produced item. The stitching is strong and reinforced where appropriate, the hardware is sturdy polished stainless steel or solid brass and to me the best part of this product is the leather. I have the brown with tan deerskin lined collar for my dog and the leather is supple and soft as well as durable and still substantial. With minimal care this collar has lasted a year and barely shows any signs of wear and with time this already comfortable collar has become even more so. It reminds me of a high end piece of tack that has been already broken in. I have a 6 ft matching leather leash that is equally impressive. As for the tough test it has passed with flying colors in that area as well. A friend of mine got my old GSD's collar after she passed away and it is still going strong despite constant abuse from a lab/pit cross. Excellent product.

I have a 4 year old bloodhound name Mia. Mia has chewed and ruined many, many collars in the past. She would rub up against our brick wall and ruin her nylon collars. Let alone her slipping out of her collar alot. This is the longest collar mia has had and it's still in great shape, mia being 110 pounds when she pulls it's heavily this collar has held up well. I would definately recommend this collar. I will be getting one for my 9 year old labrador Very soon.

We've gone through many a dog collar, trying to find one that would look ugly and beaten up after four months. We finally decided to try leather, and now my 60 lb. mutt has the brown and silver one. After almost two years with it, it hasn't shown any sign of giving up. :)
